I am 27 months out, I have lost all the weight. However I do not get sick on anything therefore I let the sugar and carbs back in.  Can anyone give me some pointers to get this crap back out of my system.  It is out of control.  Or I am.     Should I go back to the 2 week pre surgery diet.

You can do the 5 day pouch test..that is a short detox for that..back to protein forward and such..that helps. Really though..you just have to tough it out like any other addict..it's tough but you can do it. More fruits and veggies, cut the white carbs out..no bread, pasta, rice..keep the potatoes to a minimum and NO SUGAR..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I did a search on it:

The first 2 days is liquids
the 3rd is soft protein like eggs/tuna
the f4th is firm protein like ground meat
and the 5th and final is solid protein

no drinking 1/2 hour before and after and the non liquid meals are supposed to last around 15 min.

The 5-day pouch test really does help.   I'm almost 2 years out and fell off the wagon early on when I got ahold of some sweets and started craving carbs.   I've gone back to basics, getting my protein in and making sure to take all my vitamins.   It has made a huge difference, I'm not craving the carbs anymore and I'm losing weight again!

Best of luck to you!
