I know it was the tortillas that did me in... i was OK over the weekend at 1300 cals, but i feel bad today. Last night i felt defeat come over me... maybe it was just how full i felt... but still... i actually had thoughts of just giving up. Thats not to say that i will, but i thought about it.
I have all these great/grand exercise ideas - taking a kickboxing class, going on a nice long bike ride, doing the elliptical - but i never make it happen. The only thing ive stuck w/ is this 200situps program. I know i need to do more, but cant seem to get myself over that doing it hump.

Do you have the means to hire a personal trainer for a few sessions?
Try to find someone that will come to your home and help you develop a plan with the equipment that you have.

Another idea is to recruit a friend or neighbor.  When I started the situps/pushups, etc, I got my little sis and her husband to join me.  The knowledge that they're doing their part keeps me off the couch in the evening for a few more minutes, since I know I have to be accountable to them with my totals.

Edited to add:  I also just talk about my plan/goal to a few people.  Once I've told someone that I see regularly, I kind of have to put my money where my mouth is, you know?

The hardest part for me has always been getting started.  Like you, I have a lot of things that I'm "gonna" do, but they just never seem to get done.  Once I just take that plunge, its easier to keep going.

Thank you :) I started thinking about it & fortunately, the ppl i work with (my immediate team members) are all very active & together we create a support system. Ive even been told how "healthy" i am with what i eat. That felt good - strange but good :) We do all talk about going to the gym or what we've done w/ the work out & Ive shared w/ a few of them the journey Im on. So ya - i totally get that putting my money where my mouth is.

I dont have the means right now for a personal trainer... but that said, im not sure how much they are, so i'd have to honestly look in to it. Maybe i can work something out.

A friend whos doing the 200situps program with me said something similar. So what if i cant do a 50 mile bike ride, start off w/ something small & build up from there.
I do tell ya - i am glad you turned me on to the program & that Im accountable here. Thats really helped!
