Weight Regain After Almost 4 Years Out
For about the past year I have started eating the wrong things. I can't stop. I have regained 25 pounds. Has anyone else had this problem? I do plan to correct things but I really need some good sound advice and inspiration. Also, I need more ideas of good foods. I think I got off track because I was so tired of all the old "weight loss surgery/protein foods." Any ideas?
You can stop. You need to stop. I think we all have that problem in various degrees..Go back to protein foods but change it up and have some variety in it. try new recipes and experiment..You can look at what we all eat in the accountability threads and maybe get some new ideas.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Thank you very much! I just need a little encouragement. I am starting today to change things. My husband said he will work with me on this so he can lose some weight also. I started the protein drinks again. I bought Jillian Michaels and it is pretty good cold. I will check out the accountability threads for new ideas. Have a great day!
Support at home is really really good. My hubby changed his diet to more of what I'm eating which is less white carbs (less bread, less pasta and less rice) and now those things fill him up too much. He's italain so giving up pasta was a whine fest! We walk more on the weekends and do more things that have us moving..a car show or a festival..or just walking around. We park futher from the stores now and push the cart all over the store .. Move movement = more calories burned.. My next big adventure is to make sure the tires on my bike hold air and go to the local park that has a bike trail around a duck pond and go riding..slow at first but more often in any case..

I posted here a short while back about the same exact thing. I am 41/2 yrs out and my eating is totally out of control. To get my head back in the game, I just joined an intense 10 week diet/exercise program. It starts Monday, and I am hoping it is just what I need to re-motivate myself. I want my clothes to start getting too big instead of too small. Like me, I'm sure you already know what you are doing wrong - it's just about finding the motivation to get back on track. Good luck with everything.
Size 8 is exactly where I would like to get back to as well. I was down to a 4/6 after my plastic surgery, but I was way too skinny (who would've ever thought!). I started that program I wrote about today, and it is the first day in a really long time that I feel totally back in control of my eating. I am soooo happy that this sparked me back into action. The only issue is that the nutrition plan actually has too much food. I'm just going to try and modify it a bit. Good luck in finding something to re-motivate yourself. You did it once before and you can do it again.
Thank you for your comments. I wanted to have the plastic surgery to get down to a size 6 but then I lost my job where I had worked for 30 years and now have no insurance. We have had so many stressors since 2009: I lost my job, my husband lost his job, my sister died at age 53 of pancreatic cancer after only 8 months and we had to file bankruptcy (all in one year). So I think with all of these things I just started giving up. I am trying now to get everything back on track but I think it will take a while. Good luck with your diet/nutrition program. I know you will do it!!
