Couldn't get out with the baby today because of the wind so after hubby got home I took the dog for a walk instead. I'm really happy with today's numbers, wish everyday was like this.

Wow..you did awesome. All those numbers look great..shake n bake is great stuff.

Hey, my hubby has started putting carrots in the fryer for french fries..and it's yummy.

Good for you with walking the dog. Getting out in the sunshine is a great thing for body and soul. Sadly, my dogs walk themselves with this wind. I do walk with them but it seems that I can't find any spare moments..too many excuses..

Keep up the good work. See ya.

Ive been exhausted all week. IDK if its just the mental/emotional weight of whats going on in my fam or what... Im sure thats adding to it... but Ive been crashing each afternoon for like 3hrs! I get great sleep at night, but im still tired in the morning. Today i realized i hadnt been taking my B12, so i popped one right away.
Went to the allergist today & while we didnt do any tests, she did agree & confirm that the itching is most likely due to the brand of protein (bariatric advantage) ive been taking (specially since i havent had this type of reaction before). My challenge here is to try other brands & see if i get the same reaction.
I did a lot of running around today, so i didnt get in a lot of "eats", specially since im not drinking protein shakes. I totally didnt want to grab something from a fast food place, so I had some peanuts while visiting w/ my dad.

My "eats" -
Breakfast:
6oz FF yogurt
12oz coffee

Lunch:
1/2c dry roasted peanuts
20oz vita water

Snack:
9.6oz protein coffee drink

Dinner:
quesadilla (1/4c shredded cheese & 1/2 flour tortilla)
2c homemade chicken soup
20oz CL

Totals:
Cals - 1176
Fat - 67
Protein - 86

I know Ive seen it listed here before - but what is the "recommended" cal/fat/protein ratio? I'd like to adjust my custom values on calorie count so i can start tracking against the right numbers instead of working from the standard low carb/ low fat / or diabetic diets.
So - do you think its 50/20/30? or does it more so follow the low carb 40/30/30?

I agree completely that the mental stress is the cause of exhaustion..I know that days when I'm totally stressed and I still get all my foods and fluids and vitamins..I can lose a couple of pounds just from stress!

I have had constant rashes since I got near to goal and the protein doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. The allergist sent me to a skin specialist who was annoyed that the allergist even suggested that I come. He did a skin biopsy and it turned up nothing (according to him)..Mine is most likely psychological or something like celiac disease but I don't really wanna know if it's celiac..

My recommendations on ratios is mostly on the numbers. Perfect is 30% or better on protein..whatever that number in grams is, less than that on carbs, provided they're GOOD carbs..and less than that on fat. I don't look too much at calories.

Your numbers look really good. You're eating well and that's commendible with what you're going through..Keep up the good work.

What are your guidelines for your totals?  How many calories, fat and carbs do you try to stay under and how many grams of protein do you try to get in each day?

I don't really have a limit on calories. I eat every couple of hours and make sure I have protein or high fiber each time. What I really want to see in my totals is 30% protein or over 100 grams. Then I want to see less than that in carbs..if they're good carbs I can go over that (fiber carbs like fruits and veggies or beans) I try to stay away from white carbs (bread, pasta, rice and sugar)..Fat totals should be about half what the carb total is..or at least less.

And because I eat so many proteins a day, I have to keep my water intake elevated..I shoot for 1 gallon of water a day I don't count coffee but I do count decaf and caffeinated water drinks so long as they aren't the majority of the water I'm drinking..

What a great varied list! Lots of fiberous carbs and really rice a roni isn't bad..there's a bit of value there..and the protein is great..

Keep up the good work. see ya..be sure and get enough water for your exercises..the muscles need water to keep the lactic acid from causing aching..at least I think I heard that..See ya tomorrow..
