Thanks Miss Candace!
My little sister, who just had a baby 6 months ago is trying to get her pre-baby body back. So on Monday, my sis, her husband, and I started doing 4 of 5 fitness 'challenges'.
The website is www.twohundredsitups.com and the various challenges are along the left side of the page.
-200 situps (crunches actually)
-100 pushups
-150 dips
-200 squats
-25 pullups (we're skipping this one)
Its a 6 week stretch where you do X amount of the excercise in Y amount of sets 3 days/week.
By the end of the 6 weeks, you should be able to do all 200 (or whichever) of the excercise.
So on Mon/Wed/Fri we do the situps and pushups and on Tue/Thu/Sat we do the dips and squats (plus whatever cardio 5 days minimum per week). My brother-in-law is a 'brat' and is doing all four daily. Then again, he's 6ft 4in and in great shape, lol.
I'm so glad I have family/friends doing this with me. Yesterday, by the time I got home from work, I was simply exhausted. Without the knowledge that Sis and her hubby were also doing their excercises, I probably would have talked myself into skipping a day. We're helping to keep each other honest and motivated.

RIGHT ON! Thank you very much for sharing the details of this program. I checked out the website & I think im going to take the challege. After reading your first post this morning, I thought about it all day long & while waiting for the allergist I did 20 squats! lol & I thought - why cant I do this in my cube at work?
So ya - I think I am going to do this!
So ya - I think I am going to do this!
Back lash came from my cousin today. Knew it was coming - knew they wouldnt be able to let it go - so I cant say i didnt expect it. Can say that I had really hoped the responce would have been more adult like (they are more than 10 years my senior) & that they would have at least been able to comprehend where we (my brother, sister & I) are coming from.... but no. Now I have have to deal w/ them & their snide confrontational, defensive, uppidy attitudes until my aunts Celebration of Life...
God help me...

Nothing brings out the worst in people than funerals or weddings. The drama at my nephews wedding in 2009 was horrible and it wasn't any of his aunts or uncles..it was MY aunts..his great aunts..just the petty crap that happens at all family functions like that, really..It's best not to take those people seriously..It's only for a short time so try and keep from going crazy too much! Soon you won't have to deal with them until another wedding or funeral.
I use fitday and it figures my percentages for me on how much is protein and such..It looks to me to be higher than 30% anyway..when you get that much protein (30% or more) you really have to increase your water to more than normal intake cuz high protein is hard on the kidneys..Doctors always say 8 glasses but that's for a normal diet..high protein needs more than that.
There is peanut butter out there that's higher in protein, lower in sugar and more fiber..Natural something..It has flax in it!
You did great. if the worst you did was eat alittle too much peanut butter..so? You did really well. Keep up the good work. Find something to keep you sane during this stressful time..if it's peanut butter, that's cool.
see ya.

"Soon you won't have to deal with them until another wedding or funeral" Amen to that sister!
You are very right - I need to find another way to cope & get through this time. Smoking isnt doing it & I cant have my wine anymore. I actually thought about going on anti-anxiety or depression meds today. Im not doing any "real"/daily exercise other than my weekend hikes. I think Im going to try & incorporate more exercise... Everyone always says exercise is the best release - Ive just never had that experience - but i suppose EVERYONE cant be wrong, right...
Im really interested in that 200situps program recommended in another post/reply.
