Accountability - Saturday
We had a scare today..at least I did. We got home from shopping and I heard the dogs barking over by a pallet of roof tiles we have in the yard..but it seemed wrong so I went over to see what they were doing and sure enough, our beagle was stuck under the stack of roof tiles..she'd chased a rabbit under there and the whole pallet load fell, trapping her with barely enough room to wag her tail when I spoke to her..So I frantically pulled roof tiles off until we could lift the edge of the pallet and she could crawl out..I crushed a finger, bruised my knee and hurt my back and shoulders..ouch..but we found her before she got hurt..last year our chiuahuah mix did the same thing and he was dehydrated and smooshed pretty good. It took two weeks to get him recovered, he was sore for a long time but he was alot older too..This time I wore myself out more than she was hurt! whew.
Otherwise, we had a pretty good day..shopping was pretty good..saved a bunch of money, got all stocked up too. I made my waffles for the week..this time with less protein powder and with the carb quick..so they're going to be lighter..I also found a recipe for those whole wheat sandwich thins and was gonna make some but darned if I didn't find some on sale! $1.88 for 8 of them (so I bought three packs so I can freeze them..) I think I'll make cookies tomorrow..I ate all 3 dozen of the last ones I made..Or maybe I'll make protein bars..not sure..
My eats for Saturday:
Started early at 4:00 am with coffee..yeah!
Breakfast was a super protein waffle and sf pancake syrup
double espresso latte with soy milk and splenda
24 oz herb tea..can't remember what flavor
second breakfast: 1/2 an egg burrito (I found out the whole burrito is 4 eggs..no wonder I can't eat more than half of it..) and some coffee..not even a whole cup!
24 oz drink mix, GV Energy Strawberry caffeinated
24 oz herb tea, Good Earth Cocoa (I found some at Albertsons..I was out..)
Snack: 1 oz monterey jack cheese and turkey breast deli meat
Snack: 1 hard boiled egg
24 oz drink mix, Hawaiian punch Orange
Dinner: 1/3 lb burger with processed cheese, 1 T mayo, 1 T barbecue sauce on a sandwich thin..yum.
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1523
Fat: 80.4
Carbs: 93.1
Protein: 112.4
Actually, that's pretty darn good..and I'm tired..up early, tired early..

My son & I both read your post (we have a rabbit & a lab). We both agree - awwwww poor I use to work at home depot & i know just how heavy those roof tiles are. We're glad she's ok :)
This weekend was the biginning of out bush wacking trail hiking season. okay okay - so i wasnt out there wacking at any bushes w/ my machete... my walking partners (son & sister) wont let me go off trail...
ANYWAYS we hit the trail & hiked up a mountain for about 1 mile. Ya, thats it - 1 mile of almost all serious incline LOL. Once we reached the semi-top we stopped & took in the georgeous views for a minute. We were going to carry on (to complete the loop), but all of a sudden my asthma kicked in - i actually had an attack up there & we had no pumps - not even in the car. So we decided to turn back. i RARELY... NEVER have attacks, so i was totally unprepared. Once back down the mountain, i felt better & was able to push on on a lower level train w/ no hills so we got in a .5 miles. It was so beautiful up there. I packed us a nice little lunch & everything. Brought the with us too, so she was loving it. Everything was perfect. I was a little disappointed at first that i wasnt able to go on (b/c i know i can do better than that), but when you take into consideration that this is our first time hitting the trails in a year & we started off w/ a strenuous one - i think we did pretty good. The goal is to hit a different trail every weekend, but next time i'll be sure to bring my pump.
For such a heavy work out day, my intake was really light. My "eats":
Breakfast:
8oz protein shake
24oz coffee
9.5oz protein coffee drink
Snack:
10oz protein shake
Lunch:
6oz FF yogurt
20oz CL
Dinner:
3oz roasted chicken
(what the duece?!? again, IDK why i ate the chicken - the only thing i can say is that my body is craving other forms of protein. Im not on solids yet (still liquids phase), but i do feel good that i only ate 3oz worth)
Snack:
6oz ff yogurt
10oz CL
Totals:
Cals: 740
Fat: 12
Protein: 93
