OMG. I did it again. I missed Thursday! Let me see if I can recreate the day..It was much like the whole week so the foods and times would be about what I did Friday too.

Totals for Thursday:
Calories: 1443
Fat: 70.3
Carbs: 115.7
Protein: 96.9

The carb number is high cuz we had baked potatoes with chili con carne and cheese for dinner..high carb number but they're pretty good carbs. I even ate the skin!

Now, on to Friday:

5:00 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

5:30 am 1/4 protein waffle, 1/2 apple raw, 1/2 sf pancake syrup

6:30 am double espresso latte, frothed soy milk and splenda

7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton Blackberry Caramel (most of it!)

8:00 am 1oz mozzarella cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat

9:30 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, Mio Strawberry

10:00 am 1 hard boiled egg

12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half and splenda

12:45 pm 1 cup chili con carne from last night and 1 oz cheddar cheese

2:00 pm 24 oz drink mix - no ice..just some generic peach tea packets that I got at the 99c store. not bad but it takes two of them to flavor this bottle.

3:00 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Crystal Light Energy Strawberry Caffeinated

4:00 pm 1 hard boiled egg

4:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wylers Peach Tea

6:00 pm 4 oz braised beef steak (actually swiss steak, crock pot with carrots, tomatoe sauce and brown gravy mix..) and 3 pc cooked carrots and about a cup of cooked cabbage

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1434
Fat: 78.0
Carbs: 79.1
Protein: 110.5

Plenty of room for a dessert..or not. I did my exercises for my physical therapy..I got scolded a bit yesterday for not doing those and beat up enough that I ached pretty darn good today..So...twice a day I'm doing my stretches and exercises..otherwise, it's gonna hurt. I know it.

How did you do today.

Ahh it's Friday and I am so glad.  I didn't post yesterday either.  I didn't forget, I just didn't.  I have it written down and to be honest it was a little sloppy...For accountability purposes here it is:

B:  1 cup white chicken chili, 2 tbsp golden ground flaxseed
Starbucks iced venti sugar free vanilla 2% latte
L:  4 oz boiled chicken, 2 tbsp jalapeno ranch dressing, 2 tbsp salsa, 1/3 cup cheese, spinach, grated carrots, pico de gallo, red pepper, 1/4 cup corn, banana
23.7 oz water
S:  28 almonds, 5 prunes
D:  1 slice protein bread, 1 tbsp garlic paste, 56 almonds, 4 bites of a chicken patty/cheddar cheese/onion & chive cream cheese/BBQ sauce sandwich on protein bread
S: 34 gram sugar free white chocolate bar

So I have not been able to follow through on my commitment to stay off the scale.  I keep getting on it in the morning.  This morning I was the lowest I have been in a while - 187.6.  Very happy with that.  Some of the things that I feel have contributed to the loss is that I am purposely eating things that will help me have a bowel movement.  The prunes, the bananas, and the flaxseed and they have all been helping.  I have been having a bowel movement a day where I was maybe having one every other day.  I have also cut my calcium down from 1890 mg to 1260 mg and my vitamin D3 from 6000 i.u. to 4000 i.u.  I think I am okay doing this, but will bring it back up if I need to.  I am going to have my labs drawn within the next month to see if this is hurting me.

Here is my food for today:

B:  1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese, 2 tbsp ground golden flaxseed, 14 almonds, 5 prunes, 1 packet stevia
Starbucks iced venti sugar free vanilla 2% latte
23.7 oz water
L:  1 cup white chicken chili, balana
23.7 oz water
S:  28 almonds, 1 bite carrot with 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
D:  3 baby back ribs, 1 bite chicken thigh
32 oz diet peach snapple
S:  2.25 oz pumpkin seeds, 34 grams sugar free milk chocolate mint bar

That's it for today...Thanks for your help Dawn.

You do need to be regular and once a day is more than acceptable. I was doing the same thing..every other day and it's just not healthy..fiber is good for ya. and good for the gallbladder too..I'm not sure cutting the calcium is a good idea..the labs will tell the story for sure.

it really isn't a bad thing to step on the scale every day. I do it too. My problem is my reaction to the number. I have to be sure my reaction to that number isn't over reacting. Peel myself off the walls if it's up and figure out what salty foods I ate the day before..If you eat salt, the water you drink won't come out and each 16 oz water weighs a whole pound..I drink 120 oz of water in a day and that would be 7.5 pounds.
