Accountability - tuesday
The saga of the little dog continues. I put up more flyers last night and this morning was thinking it's just feeble to keep them up for too long..I was thinking we've done as much as we could for the little guy. But then the woman who thought he was her dog called again. We'd pretty much discounted that it could be hers but she explained that he's actually her husband's dog and that her husband died last fall and so that's why he would be looking for an older male companion! ..So we're back to the saga. My husband has started calling animal control today to see if maybe they got him turned into them but they rarely answer their phone..Still praying we find the poor little pooch..

I read down your list and was thinking "where is that protein..." and then I saw your line about needing more..yeah! You did really good for the kinds of carbs you got..good veggie carbs..
Awesome..You must have had less than 1100 calories for the day..
Yeah, hubby and I have become advocates for animals of all kinds..our hermit crabs, cats, dogs..all the wild birds around. We have two California Quail who have misshaped legs that hang around and we feed..We've been leaving our hummingbird feeders up this winter for the little guys who are late for their trip to Mexico through here..Our animal family is growing all the time! LOL..
Keep up the good work..See ya.

i was thinking about that before i got up this morning (still sleep - eyes closed, but the brain is awake). You arent animal fighters (advocates) - youre fighters (advocates) for animals duh lol
Last time i was on i had a beta fish & a dog. I now have those two & two parakeets & a chocolate mini rex bunny! you want two birds?? lol
I added 2 eggs to my list at the end of the night.
I'll try & get in more protein today & I'll start logging my cals/fats/proteins b/c ya - I think youre right - i was under 1100 or 1k cals. i added the eggs last night b/c i started to get that slight/ low grade headache around 4pm so i knew i needed something more. I figured the soup would do it, but it didnt.
& I do like how many liquids im getting. Maybe i should think about maintaining that & not just getting so many liquids when im on a liquid diet lol
Have a great day!!

We've adopted parakeet birds from people who couldn't take care of them before..LOL..I actually found small cages at the thrift store and gave them to students at our district..Mostly cuz the cat we have kept grabbing the cage and swinging back and forth on it, scaring the heck out of the poor things..that's probably the only thing that keeps my husband from bringing the hummingbirds into the house for the winter! He's turned the California Quail into make believe wild chickens (we're feeding them chicken scratch even!)
We've owned a Redtail Boa constrictor, rats (to raise them for the snake), a raven, fish, cats, dogs, hermit crabs...But living where we do we get abandoned dogs all the time. We don't have a fence so they come into the yard finding food and water and a kind person, so long as they don't bother the other animals..There just isn't anything as heart wrenching as the look on a dog's face who has seen their owner drive away and leave them..
the adoption places that charge so much to *save* animals make me so angry..but that's a different story.
alot of times I will have a hard boiled egg around bedtime too cuz I know what I've had at 6 pm won't hold me until 6 am..that or a piece of cheese wrapped in lunch meat..That's exactly why I keep those things ready and in the fridge..

Hello ladies! Glad to see we're all here. Here's my food for today:
B: 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese, 14 almonds, 5 prunes
Starbucks iced venti sugar free 2% latte
2 x 16.9 oz water
L: 5 oz tuna, 2 tbsp mayo, no sugar added bread and butter pickles, 21 sea salt soy crisps, 1 banana
2 x 16.9 oz water
D: 4 oz bonless/skinless chicken thighs, 1/3 cup grated cheddar, 2 tbsp jalapeno ranch, 2 tbsp salsa, spinach, grated carrots/red cabbage, yellow bell pepper, 3/4 flatout flatbread
1455 calories, 79 fats, 112 carbs, 103 proteins - i may have a sugar free double chocolate brownie which would add 160 calories, 6 fats, 16 carbs, 3 proteins...we see.
Things have gone well today. I have noticed that i really have been doing good at getting not just my liquid in, bu****er. It is getting easier and I prefer the water as opposed to other things. It also feels good to be eating cleaner. I feel clearer and my body feels good. I'm not so hung up on the carb number. Those carbs are good carbs as has been pointed out.
Yay for all of us for showing up and for getting better each day!

I don't believe you can get better protein than fish and chicken..You're doing what I do on those carbs..just enough to keep your diet balanced and useful fiber..It's amazing when you eat and drink what you should how great you feel..
I have to work on my B vitamins this next couple of weeks. My mind hasn't been so clear and I know it's that..I forgot my purse at work on Friday night..I forgot where I put my jacket over the weekend and this morning I realized I left my reading glasses on my desk at work last night..Just a foggy mind all around!
You're doing awesome..Keep up the good work. See ya.
