NEED HELP!
I had the sleeve in March of 2011 and lost about 94 lbs. Since November, I have not lost anything but gained about 3-5 lbs back. I catch myself eating all the time and making horrible eating decisions. I'm a carboholic so they are killing me. I'd like to lose another 50 lbs. What did you tell yourself to get back on track?
I told myself that I was worth the work. that I was worth giving up the crap in order to get down to my goal..nothing tastes good enough to side track me..I'm WORTH it..
Move more! journal your intake and know what you're eating..If you have to throw things away do it. Don't let the things that are causing you to fail back in the house..If you can't say no to something, it can't come back in..you are WORTH IT!

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hi Karen,
I have been lurking on this message board for a while and basically watching Dawn's post. I have been exactly where you are - eating a bunch that is no good for me: candy, chocolate, fast food, chips, panda express, etc. I had stopped planning, preparing, writing the food down. I would graze throughout the night and all weekend long. I would tell myself I would start Monday and then not do it.
Last Sunday night I got really freaked out about where I was heading and sat down and planned out several days of meals. I made my breakfast and lunch for work the next day. I have been back on track since this past Monday and posting what I am doing on this board. I feel so much better.
I hope I keep it up. For the 11 months following my surgery this is what I did and it worked. It is working now. There is something about writing the food down, planning and then posting it - being accountable that works. And I really admire Dawn. She has continuously showed up whether other people show up and post with her or not. And it is working for her.

I weighed every week. I became very disappointed because at 1 year I quit losing 30 lbs from goal. Thank goodness I did my measurements because it was then I was losing inches. Believe it or not now sometimes I have to worry about trying to gain. Don't be hard on yourself. Take your measurements.

Good thing you've caught yourself now! I'd start by journaling too. And everytime you are tempted to eat something bad, drink a glass of water or take a short walk. If the weather is too bad outside, make small loops around the house. Just believe in yourself because you can do it. I had regained weight due to steroids and poor eating habits and have been able to get most of it back off. I started by going back to the basics.
Wishing you the besst of luck!
