Accountability - Tuesday
Yesterday at the physical therapist's office was not my finest hour. I was whiney and didn't want to do my exercises this weekend and paid for it with all that pain! Boo for me. I know better than that. I am better than that. I owe my therapist an apology! Today I can start over and do what I'm suppose to do to make myself better.. and I'll definitely try. There are other things that I need to be doing to make myself better too.. I need to do better. Much much better.
My eats today:
5:00 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
5:30 am 1/4 serving protein waffle, 2 turkey sausages, 1/2 serving sf pancake syrup
6:15 am double espresso latte, frothed soy milk and splenda
7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Bigelow Lemon Lift
8:00 am 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 pc chicken breast deli meat
9:30 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Strawberry
10:15 am 1/2 slice banana bread..the last of it..finally..pretty nasty without tons of butter!
10:45 am 24 oz herb tea, Bigelow French Vanilla
12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half and splenda mocha
12:45 pm 3/4 cup of chili con carne and 2 oz pork chop, braised (this was actually half my lunch but I guess I lost interest!)
1:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Energy Peach Mango Caffeinated
2:45 pm 1 large hard boiled egg
4:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea
6:45 pm (after most of my exercises!) 4 oz tilapia, 1/2 cup scalloped potatoes from a mix, 2/3 cup canned green beans, then...for dessert: 1 oz honey roasted peanuts
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1355
Fat: 70.8
Carbs: 75.4
Protein: 117.2
Now those are near perfect numbers..and I'm stuffed..I have one more exercise to do for my physical therapist..

Today went well. Not as free from obsession as yesterday, but it wasn't blowing me away and as I type and eat my dinner I can say that today was a success. Here is my food:
B: 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese, 14 almonds, 5 prunes, 1 packet stevia (eaten around 6:40 a.m.)
Iced venti sugar free vanilla latte from Starbucks (drank around 7:45am)
1.5 x 16.9 oz water
L: 1/2 cup brown rice, 1 sweet italian turkey sausage, 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup mushrooms/onions, 1/4 cup sundried tomato alfredo sauce (eaten around 11:40 a.m.)
1.5 x 16.9 oz water
S: Pure Protein Chocolate Deluxe Protein Bar (eaten around 4:30 p.m.)
D: Single serve can albacore tuna, 1 tbsp mayo, 21 soy crisps, NSA bread and butter pickle chips
24 oz Diet Peach Snapple
11455 calories, 76 fat, 96 carbs, 96.5 protein
I also walked about 10 minutes around the campus at work. Ahh day is done. Going to finish dinner and then wait until I can drink the rest of my liquid. Grateful to have fed my body what it needed today. Grateful that you show up no matter what Dawn.

It looks good to me..tuna is sooooo good for protein and low carbs/calories. I'm working on a tuna casserole recipe using cooked spaghetti squash instead of noodles..
Sugar free venti...great! I've ordered those but have to stay clear of the whipped cream or I get woozy from either dumping or dropping blood sugar. Either way, sugar free is great. If you like mocha flavor, look around for Splenda Mocha flavor packets (sticks) in the coffee isle of the super market. They also have French Vanilla and Hazelnut but Mocha is my FAVORITE ..I add that and half n half when I go out and have coffee (like Denny's or any cafe)..it tastes alittle special and chocolatey and sugar free..the only reason I put the creamer in my coffee is that it's a mental thing..the color of the coffee matters. LOL..
The NSA Swiss Miss is another thing I add to my coffee at home. I actually make my own. I grab a bunch of splenda at the restaurant or Starbucks and make it from cocoa, dry instant milk, splenda packets....
Keep up the good work. Rome wasn't built in a day, weight wasn't gained in a day..it takes time and you have plenty of time to get it back down. See ya.

I love that latte like I love my motha. No whipped cream ever, it ruins it. I also make myself a sugar free hot chocolate using cocoa powder, 2% milk and sugar free french vanilla syrup that is delicious.
I have two questions for you. First what do you think about weighing every day? I have been doing it for a while but this morning I started having thse thoughts about how the weight was coming off (I was 203.2 this morning from 207.6 on Monday) and then the games in my head began about how maybe I could eat more, maybe it wasn't so bad, etc. and I started to think maybe weighing daily wasn't the greatest idea.
My next question is about how long do you take between bites. I still eat slower than I did before surgery but faster than I did right after. I'm just curious.
