Depressed and don't know what to do
Here I am 1yr and 6 months out and I haven't lost a single lb in the last year. My weight stopped dropping this time last year and has stayed the same, nothing I have tried has made any difference , I have 20 lbs to go and it just won't go :( Any and ALL ideas on how I can reach my goal, I am not sure which is worse being fat or being so close but yet so far away.
Hi ,
Looking back over the last year I've been between 1200 - 1500 cals per day , not so good with the water intake but it's been around 40 to 80 oz on a good day. I walk 3 to 4 times a week between 3 and 5 miles each time. I guess by looking at my reports on here I can see that my fat intake as increase and so have my carbs but nothing about 100gms.

Well, that all looks good. Maybe you aren't suppose to be that small! I know that I'm pretty small and I have a friend who is the same size, shape and height as me but weighs 40 pounds more..she's super muscular..if you have more muscle, or bigger bones (I know, that's what they used to say about me but turns out I was petite...)
My intake is higher than that..I walk but not nearly as much as you..My carbs are about that too..I try and keep my carbs below what my protein is but some days it's not..

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

is it possible that your goal weight is just too low? You lost a significant amount of weight, so is some of the remaining just loose skin? In order to lose more on the scale, maybe you need surgery to cut it off. Don't be depressed by the metal scale- it can sabotoge you if you let it. Aren't you happy with the smaller size clothes you can now wear? Think of how much better you feel now as compared to post op? Enjoy your success ! You have done a GREAT job!
Hey, you are welcome. I know it is really expensive, not to mention the recovery. After thinking about it, just throw out the F.. scale ! Buy some shapers (if you think you want to be thinner) and just live your life and have fun! My Dr told me to get rid of the scale or it will make me miserable. I am trying not to focus on the numbers, but rather on how my clothes fit. Other people say use the measuring tape- that way you know you are keeping on track. ( By the way, I went to Sears and bought some shapers- a/k/a girdles for us over 45 crowd!- they really help. I swear I think I even walk straighter when I wear them, which I think also makes me look thinner!). Just remember what a wonderful job you have done! Happy Holidays to you too- Rosie
