8 year anniversary
How do you keep your weight off.. you make it look and sound so easy!!! I am 3 years out.. it has been a rough rough rough 3 years... I have had a bout with cancer, plastic surgery nightmare, got married.. now have child, etc... I am seeing the weight creeping back up farther and farther... I wish I had your sticktuitiveness!!!
Thanks for sharing your journey... maybe somehow i'll find a way to get back on track!

For me, since hitting goal, it's been a mental journey and the hardest part is that mental part. I recognize that I'm a stress eater so if I'm stressed I have to find something else to do. I walk away..walk..I park the furthest from the places I shop..start at the OTHER side of the market..I find places to go and things to do that require moving around. Swapmeets, craft fairs, car shows..
For the addiction of sugar, I have to treat it like a serious addiction. There are pushers out there who will tell you "Aw, just one won't hurt you.." but no one gives an alcoholic a beer and says one won't hurt ..cuz it will. On the wagon is on the wagon no matter what you're addicted to. I'm a recovering sugar addict..I take some flak for not being "natural" because sugar is far more natural than splenda or equal but..splenda or equal are not addiction substances for me. I don't eat bread except occasionally as sandwich thins (whole wheat too)..no rice except for occasional brown rice..maybe as much as a 1/3 cup...and pasta isn't on my plate either. I shred cabbage and cook it or spaghetti squash..I don't miss the pasta. When I have had pasta, I've been so disappointed in the amount that I can eat and how it makes me feel..I don't feel bad about saying no.
Find a group for food addicitons. Even AA is recognizing that they are Sugar Addicts first before they are addicted to the sugar that is in alcohol..

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
