The first day of my altered diet getting ready for my colonoscopy on Wednesday. Yeah! I'm nervous. I started taking the dulcalax today too..so of course, I was running to the bathroom all day. I was told to go vegetarian so my carb number will be high..No meat..gad I miss meat! So I'm whiney today too..and cranky..four days of being cranky is not going to be fun..Today we walked all over the local swapmeet. Like a giant garage sale..lots of fun, if you aren't cranky and alot of exercise!

Early: coffee, coffee

Breakfast: my protein waffles (soy)..with half a large apple..and sugar free pancake syrup

Double (well, triple) espresso latte with frothed soy milk and mocha splenda

24 oz drink mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange (switching to non-red this week for Wednesday)

Second breakfast: veggie and cheese omelet at Dennys with the hashed browns that came with it.

24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Energy Peach

24 oz drink mix no ice, GV Strawberry (no color in this one).

hard boiled egg

Dinner: 1/2 a large egg burrito..I found out if you order it regular with the hashed browns, it's the same size as if you order it without the hashed browns..soooo..without those, more egg. Good to know.

This might not be too hard. We bought two of those burritos so that I have another lunch and dinner tomorrow without meat.

Ouch..not enough protein. Eggs just aren't an effective source of protein..

hi dawn,
still have a cold but i feel pretty good. its like all in my throat. its so weird...
someone told me it it might not be a cold so not sure whats going on, i am going shopping tues . i need some food.. lol.. i still cant find that stuff u use for your waffles. i dont know why but i dont feel like cooking or sometimes i dont know what to cook for my self now. help... anita

bad.. i ate a piece of homemade applesauce cake. i took it to church.

I know what you mean about not knowing what to cook. It's all about having to decide for yourself what YOU want instead of letting someone else choose for you..You can do it.It takes alittle practice.  

Something we do..we buy chicken thighs and boil them..then freeze them in zippy bags and take them out as we need them..grill them with bbq sauce or a can of mushroom or chicken soup..over brown rice or something like that..I love mashed potatoes with them..If you have instant mashed that works.

Oh, and those single serving microwave soup thingies..one of those would work too! I bought the tomato soup and add some cooked chicken to it..steak and pork is alittle harder to do but you can do that too..

You can store up any leftovers and re-use them..

You did good being sick and all..I hope you get some relief from it from the doctor.

 i froze alot of chili yesterday in butter dishes. so there is meals there for me. sometimes i think lazy mode goes in and still dont know what to make. oh good idea for the chicken thighs..
