Accountability - Thursday
No espresso this morning..I went shopping early to take advantage of a sale..5 pounds of bacon and 4.5 pounds of sirloin steak later..I'm at work! For my lunch I walked a mile in 20 minutes..not bad..but it's alittle warm out there for walking (87 degrees) so I quit after one mile. A really exhausting day! Deadlines, vacations coming up (for other people!) and just non stop drama!
5:00 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss (or my sugar free hot cocoa mix..)
6:00 am 1/4 batch chocolate protein waffles, 1 medium pear and about 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup
6:45 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton Vanilla Chai
8:00 am 1 oz monterey jack cheese, 1 pc ham deli meat
10:00 am 1/2 of my lunch: 2 cups of chicken tortilla soup.
11:30 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Strawberry Kiwi (no coloring)
12:30 pm the rest of my lunch

2:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Peach
3:15 pm 1 tangerine
4:20 pm 1 plum
5:00 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice,
6:15 pm 2.5 oz top sirloin steak, 1/2 cup mashed potato with brown gravy from instant, 1/3 cup canned peas
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1240
Fat: 48.5
Carbs: 125.4

Well, not my finest hour I guess. The steak I bought this morning was cut so thin, it's impossible to make it medium rare..it's tough..so that's all I could eat and I doubt I really did eat that much..I'm thinking that steak is better suited for the crock pot..
How did you do?

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I went for a nice 3 mile run after work ,I needed it since I ate off plan today. It was in the 70's here; just perfect! The rain is coming back again tomorrow. I have been asking myself" when did I turn into that person that there is always something going on?" Homelife has not settled into a rythm yet with work, school, hubby getting ready to deploy etc.. and work is totally upside down. I do not need perfect order in my life but a semblence of order in one or the other would help! I just look at others and their struggles and remind myself again of all I have to be grateful for. I am done complaining/venting.

You and me both on the Friday thing! I'm WAY ready for a weekend right about now. A semblence of order would be nice..Some days I have barely a toe hold on that stuff..other days are down right boring with the sameness of it..I know what you mean about looking at others and seeing how much worse it could be..I'm happy as a clam with my own little struggles, that's for SURE..
You did really good. I'm waiting for the perfect weather but we rarely get that..it's either too darn hot or too darn cold..Either way, I'm not taking NO for an answer with my walking. It just feels way too good.
Keep up the good work. See ya.

I've already decided that when the weather turns cold and windy, I'm bringing a water proof windbreaker to work and leaving it..along with a hat and gloves..I have no excuses...If I have a walking buddy, I'm gonna walk (and she better walk with me or I'm gonna give her such grief!).
You did great..I love homemade frenchfries..You ROCKED the fluids today..awesome.
I've been saying for a while that I need some rye thins..I just crave pastrami on rye with swiss cheese lately.
Keep up the good work. See ya.

I do mine in oil too..Fat isn't always a bad thing. You need it for your skin and hair..it's a good thing occasionally..I'll probably not walk as much when the weather turns cold either..I'm hoping I'll have more intestinal fortitude than that but ... we'll see how my resolve sticks when it's cold and blowing out there..
