Need To Move-Me and my Scale
It's been just under 6 1/2 yrs since I made the choice to be healthy AND alive for my family. I have been successful, and in ways that were not on my healthy checklist. In addition to losing weight and earning bragging rights about my cholesterol levels and BP, I also completed college and am teaching at the middle school level. That is what has also become a roadblock for me. My job made it necessary to be on the road for over 2 1/2 hrs/day and offered me the EXCUSE to stop the daily exercise, including walking. Add to the excuses, I would eat the school lunches(carb nightmares!) and I have gained a total of 30# since 2007, just a little bit that would make the clothes snug and I would go up maybe one size in a school year. I made the mistake of getting into the mindset of "it's only 5#". UGH!!! I need to get back on a daily exercise schedule and start making the RIGHT food choices for me. I was lucky to find a position this year that cuts out the long drive and I can use that extra time to either walk my neighborhood or get to the gym I drive past every weekday.
This post is a contract with myself (and whoever would like to help me be accountable) to get back on track. I won't put a number or date goal because this is my life and it's something I need to continually work on, not just "lose x# by xx/xx/xx". The only goal I have to agree to is the 21-day habit goal of exercise. I know it takes 21 days to make a habit stick.
OH was a great daily reminder to me at the outset of this journey and life just got in the way and pulled me off this site. I am going to make a commitment to post daily and work on me again!

I'll join you, Julie!
I lost 80+ pounds with RNY in 2007. Down to 140 as my lowest weight, but I held at about 155 for the last 2-3 years. Over the summer, I suddenly and quickly gained 20lbs. I was 178 this morning. I'm doing a 5 day liquid pouch reset, followed by a 1000cal/day high protein plan thereafter. My goal is to get down at LEAST 20lbs by the new year. Good luck and best wishes everyone!
