We're having alot of fun watching the wild birds that are coming around the feeders this year. A really great selection of hummingbirds, quail, doves, wrens..It's caused me to look up my bird information and get to know our native neighbors..and foreign imports. I'm seriously thinking of getting some bird shot for the shot gun and doing in some Eurasian Ring neck doves..they are eating up the stuff for our native Mourning Doves..which I like alot more.

Enjoy the weekend! It only comes around once a week..See ya!

Hi Dawn, came to see what was going  on...I see you are still accounting for your calories. I may have to get back to doing same. You seem to be doing well....

Feb 8th was my 6th anniversary. April saw my surgeron for follow up, I was 122 as I had been for many years.  I had not been feeling well since August having these flares on my face which in Sept, Nov, Jan and Feb sent me to ER. I was given Medrol drip....my primary and hematologist insisted I need to see an RA dr....well after many months I agreed and saw the RA spec. in May...I saw him 3 times and he concluded I had Lupus. Puts me on Plaquenil and 15 mg of pred.

In August I start getting weighed at primary and hematologists and I am gaining 5 lbs each time I get weighed so I am sitting at 130 today possibly tomorrow 135 up and down. Not sure what this prednisone did to me but I am calling my weight loss surgeon on  Monday to schedule an appt.

I have not changed my diet (800-1000 cal) and it was scarce as you know due to celiac and allergies...basically Unjury protein drinks, Fage and cottage cheese, fish and shellfish. So here I sit with the same  problem that got me 80 lbs over weight the first time...medication!!! So I stopped it all. I am in pain but I will me mentally in pain if I don't get it out of my system ASAP!

I started to double up my exercise, pilates in AM and before bed (which Ra Doc had me stop, said it was too strenuous for me, crap!)..extra protein drink to give me 100 gram of protein but I actually had to do a search to find out if it will help me loose...so I figured it was time I start back here where I started

To think I have been stable at 122 for 5 yrs and up till May was 122, I will never take another medication unless I am on my death  bed and don't care about how I look or feel.

I will try to remember yesterday; should not be this hard!
0930-boiled egg
1130-1/4 c wheat spaghetti noodles, brocoli, cup of heart smart Prego sauce w ground turkey
1200-skinny cow candy
1700-baja bowl from Taco del Mar- no rice
2000-mango mantra from Jamba Juice- splenda and soy drink
2200-rf wheat thins rf string cheese
all my water and such. Went to Radio Shack for a power cord for my laprop $120 ;yikes! I am now going to Ebay as Dawn suggested.
Hope your bird hunt is successful! My uncle used to offer us( me and my cousins) a quarter for any crows we would kill when we were real young. We never were able to catch one to kill but we would spend hours thinking up how to catch one and how we would kill it.  I hadn't thought of that in nearly fourty years; funny when a memory will pop out at you.
Have a great weekend

It's really hard to remember what you ate all day..I'm so bad at it I have to keep it on my computer on a note and then copy it to an email and send it home to myself..otherwise, I'd never remember..

I'm so sorry you couldn't find a cheap cord..that happened to us when ours and our son's laptop "ate" the cords too..at Walmart, the replacement cords were $48..still way too high..I found ours on ebay for much cheaper..but I had to wait cuz it came from china..LOL..

I've never thought about hunting..fishing yeah but not shooting something..but those doves aren't native and that seems more wrong to me than killing them..and my dad used to hunt quail..I like the quail but don't like the doves and the doves are actually bigger (more meat, I figure)..so, I think that would be okay. I heard I could do it (shoot them) if they're on my property without a license..I need to check that out to be sure. I'd hate to shoot them against the law..but I'd rather not have to spend $45 for a license too..I'd have to cook up 20 of them to make it worth my while..
