longevity

Hello,
My name is Karmen and I am thinking about having a vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I'd like to hear from people that have had the sleeve for a couple of years. 
Did you had any complications after the first year? Do you still feel that the sleeve is effective? Why do you feel that the sleeve was or wasn't helpful. I've read a lot of post from people that had the surgery a year or less; I'd like to know what the furture may look like a couple of years or more after surgery. Look forward to hearing your experiences.
