Accountability - Monday
Wow..moving really slow today..the weekend has me hurting everywhere! sunburn, aches and pains..I felt OLD today..But then in the afternoon, I had a minor heart attack! I apparently dropped my wallet at Starbucks when I went there for lunch. When I called they said they didn't see it but remembering how I left my car window down for 4 hours at the fair Friday night, I went over and checked for myself..yup, there it was, on the floor under the table where it fell out of my purse! Now I'm breathing better..
5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
6:00 am 1/4 batch vanilla protein waffles, 1 pear (microwaved) and about 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup
6:30 am double espresso soy latte
7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Good Earth Cocoa Chai Tea
8:00 am 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 pc ham deli meat
9:00 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange
9:45 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, Crystal Light Energy Strawberry Caffeinated
11:10 am part of my lunch: 5 oz (after cooking) burger patty on a sandwich thin with bleu cheese dressing
12:00 pm 12 oz decaf coffee w/Half n half and splenda
12:30 pm the rest of my lunch
1:45 pm 2 cups raw melon with some grapes mixed in
2:45 pm 1 hard boiled egg
3:15 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Strawberry Caffeinated (I don't so much like all the caffeine but I so love strawberry!)
4:10 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Berry Limeade
4:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice,
6:00 pm 1/3 lb cheese burger with bacon on a sandwich thin and a small potato french fried..

Hmmm. too many carbs. Actually because I had two burgers on sandwich thins that must be it cuz that, by itself is 20-24 grams of carbs..boooooo..I didn't know we were going to have burgers for dinner but that's alright. The world is all just fine cuz I got my wallet back! Woo Hoo..
Some call it lucky. I'm saying it's more than that..I'm BLESSED!

I bet you were glad to get back to work so you could "rest" after your busy weekend! I had my purse stolen once about 15 yeasr ago; what a nightmare cancelling all those cards AND I had just pulled out my last $40 from the ATM prior to it being stolen. I worked night shift last night at my second job (hospital house supervisor) and it was busy!!! I came home and slept hard; still feel tired so hopefully will be able to sleep tonight.
0830-cereal w soy milk
1500-black bean soup ( eggface recipe;YUM)
1900-papa murphy delite hawaiin
2100-will be strawberries- $5 for a whole flat this weekend and they are really good
not enough water or vites and no exercise! I will be back on track tomorrow. Work will be hard our manager was cut because of the layoffs I just read my emails from work. I am fortunately safe (for now) but we lost 4 other full time educators and several others had their hours reduced. I am grateful to be safe even just for now.

Wow..they cut managers? In our school district the LAST thing they do is cut management..we got a $2500 a year cut and the big cheese (superintendent) got a nice fat raise..yeah, we're not happy..The next cut will come with blood, I'm thinkin!
I was envisioning all those canceling things..but my friend convinced me to go over there and LOOK before I do that and I did..I'm so glad I did..
Strawberries are available here all year round since we live so close to Oxnard where they grow them year round but when they get down to .89 a pound..I buy two..I can't go through enough of them to make it through more than that in the time they would take to get past ripe. I love them though while they last.
Why is it when you finally get a good night sleep, it makes you feel like you didn't get ANY sleep? I did that last night..well over 8 hours and I fell like I just dozed off a moment ago..I guess one night sleep isn't gonna cure the problem..I'll be trying again tonight!

I am so unhappy today. Weighed myself and saw I was up two pounds. I kow I snacked yesterday on carb-y things. That is my downfall. I printed and reviewed the 5 day pouch test. I am thinking it will help me get back to where I need to be. I think it helps getting one "back on track"...and I am way off. I willnot be able to do it til Tuesday as I will have to buy more protein, and funds are a lil tight right now. So, I am going to focus in on my protein intake. Wish me luck. Any helpful ideas are so needed and welcomed. Thanks!
B- protein shake
S- PB pretzels
L- homemade chili and beans with cheese, and pop chips (I overindulged in thsoe pop chips so know I will not be purhcasing them anytime soon. They were so darn yummy).
S- got stressed and continued to snack on PB pretzels (those went in trash this AM)Then went into a co-workers office and gnoshed on starbursts- like 6 I think.
D- protein shake and later had a sloppy joe with 2 slices of white bread (ugh...only bread we had in house).
late night snack- about 15 fresh cherries, then much later, marshmallows
Like, what is wrong with me????????? I am eating like its going out of style?! I need to reign myself back in.

whoa whoa whoa...no way in the world you can gain 2 pounds in a day..Let's look at this logically..
If you have all that you ate in your gut (meaning you're at least alittle constipated) you could have an increase that big but I bet I know what happened..
Sloppy joe? sloppy joe is full of salt. chips? salty! pretzels? Salty! What little water you drank would never get flushed out and 16 ounces of water weighs a full pound!
What is wrong with you? NOTHING..it's a process and you have to get a handle on it..Step away from the pretzels..back off of the starbursts..You need some really dense protein and some really fibrous carbs (like an apple or pear..) and go on from there
But DO NOT beat yourself up over a gain that is just a ton of water in your system..it wasn't you but the salt on those pretzels..
You will get a handle on it..one step at a time..one moment at a time..one day at a time..It will get easier..I promise..
