Accountability - Monday
Today I let Candy be a normal beagle..I gave her her meds this morning and then cut her lose to spend time outside. Dexter let her in the house before he left to run errands and then back out when he got home..We strongly suspect that her nose is still numb and is still out of order cuz she was out in the field under the clothes line and stepped right over a gopher snake and didn't even notice it. The gopher snake froze and didn't move so she didn't even know it was there..Hopefully her ears still work so that if a rattle snake is around she'd hear it..sigh, not really comforting to know this at all!
5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
6:00 am 1/4 batch protein waffles, 2 large strawberries 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup and butter buds
6:30 am double espresso latte, plain soy milk and splenda
7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton Bavarian Berry
8:45 am 1 oz monterey jack cheese, 1 pc turkey ham deli meat
9:30 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Strawberry
11:00 am salad: 2 cup romaine lettuce, 4 slices tomato, 1 oz ranch dressing and 4 oz corned beef cooked (part of this)
12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half
12:45 pm the rest of my salad and half a large raw apple (my belly was complaining about all that apple but it was needed with all the fat in the corned beef!)
2:00 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Dragon Fruit Energy Caffeinated
3:00 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea
4:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Crystal Light Energy Strawberry
6:00 pm 4 oz tilapia fried, 1/3 cup mashed potatoes, 1/2 corn on the cob cooked
Totals for the day:
Calories; 1219
Fat: 63.1
Carb: 80.5
Protein: 92.9
I think I have plenty of room for a dessert..maybe a sf fudgecicle..

Hooray for Candy; her senses will wake up soon I am sure. I sarted the day late, did not make it to the gym; playing catch up all day!

Some days when I'm busy I actually do that thing that really skinny people do..I forget to EAT! I could never understand that before surgery but it does happen to me and I've noticed that when I'm completely bored, I head into the kitchen to snack on something..What was it that they used to say back in Colonial days? Busy hands....LOL.
Still, you did awesome..even if you didn't make it to the gym, it looks like you were busy..

Howdy folks..
Well my 'protein pancakes' were pretty good. And I froze the leftovers. I used my amaranth flour which is quite tasty, but I think that I need to find the 'carb smart' (I think that is what you said you were using, Dawn, I'' have to go back and check). My pancakes worked out to 161 calories each with 7 grams of protein. I ate two...hmm.
today:
10am pancakes and SF syrup

1pm chicken and egg plant dip (baba ghanoosh) and small piece of some pita bread
2pm banana and coffee
3pm pinapple
4pm shrimp stir fry
5pm 100 cal. cookie pkg.
6pm another serving of shrimp stir fry (this is where the day started to go downhill)
7pm peanuts
8pm last piece of that pita bread with peanut butter and an unmentionable sugar snack
9pm coffee
today's totals:
calories: 1762 (at least)
protein: 86 grams
all fluids and vitamins.
try again tomorrow. (hope Candy is doing okay)

Two things that helped me was Carb Thin Soy Protein Baking Mix and Carb Quick Biscuit Mix..Carb Thin is a baking mix that has high protein and low carbs and Carb Quick is the same but no protein..I get these two things on netrition.com..I'm not sure if they are vegan but they are very low carb..
Looks like you did really well in any case..is there something like greek yogurt you can pair with the pineapple and the cookie to add some protein to those snacks? That might make you fuller for longer. I know the banana is really high carb. I can't even EAT a whole banana..LOL.Or you could do a BIG container of water might work too. Just looks alittle weird eating every hour but I have days like that..snack fest.

Dear Dawn. refering to my afternoon/evening compulsive eating habit as weird is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about it. Just pray that I can conquer it and that it will not again conquer me. It is the main reason for me getting on here every day. Thank you for your relentless support. God bless you.

Leila, LOL..Weird was probably the wrong word. It just struck me as strange that it was each hour..I hadn't noticed that before..I think keeping track and reviewing my list each day makes me pay more attention to what I'm eating and when..seems like I notice all sorts of things about when I eat what..I know I tend to eat more and sooner after I've had an orange than after I've eaten a hard boiled egg..or jerky. IT might be the carbiness of the orange or the density of the jerky. I'm not sure why it works but only that it does. .It's all a learning experience!
