Post Pregnancy weight loss after weight loss surgery
So, I am still SOOOO greatful that I had my sugery, and was able to be this successful with it. When I was 13months out, I got pregant. Gained more than was recommended, and stretched out my pouch. Excuse after excuse, and weight fluctuating up and down and now back up!!! I need help, support, and encouragment to do lose the weight again. I have 50 lbs to lose, so any ideas and recommendations would be great. I have heard about and looked at the 5dpt, but have not tried it yet.

I had a baby 9 months ago. I was over 3 years out though.
I recently joind myfitnesspal.com because they also have an app for my andoid phone and I love it. I use to hate writing down and keeping track of calories. Now I have no excuse becasue I always have my phone.
Highest was 397
My lowest was 173
Got up to 207
Now at 194
I really want to get to 175 and would really lov to see 150 one da but without plastics that may never happen. And with kids who the heck can afford plastics?
I don't think I stretched my poouch so much as I learned how to eat around it. Eating the crackers and chips, etc. I still dump on too much sugar but I can also tolerate a lot of it.
I have had to go back to eating properly. Protein first, I stopped buyinbg the Hershey's Bliss white Cholcolate and the chips. I count everything I eat and exercise more now than I ever did after surgery. Slowly it is coming off again. I also just turned 40 and started Zoloft for PPD so I am very aware of my weight right now (so afraid it will go up with the Zoloft and BC pills).
GL! Feel free to add me or message me.

I didn't get pregnant but I have some friends who have and they just get back to basics and keep up on that. Protein first, breakfast always, plenty of water (over 80 oz), eat tiny meals often..all the stuff we've been hearing for ever and just couldn't..
Also, if you got into the habit of eating too many white carbs, cut them back and then cut them out..cut down sugar or cut it out too..and move more..
No magic but it's work.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

There was no magic bullet before, and there isn't now. You know what to do--burn more than you take in to lose. Period. I know--easier said than done, and even harder with a little one!
You must make yourself a priority--and you must incorporate regular exercise into your life--forever. Mix cardio and weight training--you'll be amazed at how well your body performs once you have some muscles built up. I've never seen anyone on the exercise and fitness forum talking about regain.....I really do believe the #1 key to long term weight loss success is a consistent workout routine.
I don't advocate the 5 day pouch test or any other "fad" diet. Your plumbing was changed--you still have a pouch. It will still work, but malabsorption is likely greatly deminished after the 2 year anniversary.
Log your food (honestly--put ever morsel in there)
Protein first
Give up sodas (if you are having them)
Do not drink with meals and for 30 mins after
EXERCISE DAILY
Take your supplements
Only weigh once a week
You are worth the extra effort it will take to lose these lbs. Don't let weight rule your life so that the first thing you think about everyday is your weight--take control of it now. YOU CAN DO THIS.
