Infected mesh

I had wls surgery and hernia surgery in 2007 and have been fine since.  6 months ago I developed an abscess in my abdomen and it has been draining for 6 months.  The doctors say that I need all the mesh removed in a 7-10 hour surgical procedure and two weeks in the hospital.  They also say the lap band will probably have to be removed.  Has anyone gone through this?????  Thank you for your advice and help.

Sorry you are having these problems. No, personally, I haven't gone through the same thing. Just wanted to send well- wishes for a speedy recovery with minimal pain...
