What a beautiful day! Sun is shining, I may even break a sweat if I walk this afternoon. I did alittle walking this morning. Trying to drum up donations for my MS Walk this Saturday. I so want a T-Shirt from that event. I could just put enough donations in there from my pocket but I want to do it the right way and get donations myself..I'm up to $91.00...and the memo they sent me last week said I got a T-shirt if I made $100..I'm nearly there! MS is near and dear to my heart cuz my mom had it and she died in 1974..she's been gone now as long as she was alive..36 years.

5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

6:00 am 1/4 serving protein waffle with 1 small green apple, 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup

6:30 am double espresso and soy milk(gotta love my espresso maker!)

7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton Bavarian Berry

8:15 am 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat

9:00 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Peach (I got this at the 99 c store...not bad!)

9:50 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, MiO Strawberry Watermelon

11:00 am most of a salad: 4 oz chicken breast, 1 oz mozzarella cheese, 1 cup lettuce, 3 slices tomato, 1/2 zucchini raw, 1 oz zesty italian dressing

12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half and splenda

1:00 pm the rest of the chicken salad and a small tangerine

2:00 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Mango Pineapple Stevia Sweetened

3:00 pm 1 hard boiled egg and another tangerine

3:20 pm about 1/4 serving of sugar free jelly beans (Russell Stover - from my boss!)a serving is 35 beans. I ate about 8 of them.

4:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Crystal Light Energy Strawberry Caffeinated

6:30 pm fried tilapia..not sure how much but it wasn't enough to feed the boys! I fried up another bigger batch and that disappeared too. I love it when the teenagers eat good! Broccoli (2 flowerettes) and 1/3 cup mashed potatoes with a half a tablespoon of margarine..

Also add an ounce of honey roasted peanuts..yup, more snacking!

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1446
Fat: 70.8
Carbs: 93.9
Protein: 123.2

So I did pretty good. Only because of the tilapia..that's such an amazing protein..I love it!

How did you do? Don't beat yourself up..it doesn't help. I got this quote from Mindwise Bodywise:

If you could really get what you want by being hard on yourself, everybody would have everything they want. Beating yourself up will never help you achieve the results you want. Self criticism is not motivation. The simple shift that helped me lose 30kgs (66 lbs) 19 years ago was to say "I am becoming healthier" instead of "I'm fat and look hideous." Positive motivation always beats negative motivation. ~Sandy

The weather was nice hear after some light showerss this morning. You are doing great raising funds for MS. There is a high incidence of MS in the Pacific Northwest. It is nice to do things that help us honor others.
Leila- do not feel bad for your food issues, just keep trying! I am still trying to get on the wagon from the last few weeks.I do not have sweets in my house but it did not keep me from having a cupcake today, 1/2 at a time but I still ate it.
0900-scrambled eggs w ham and cheese, salsa, low carb toast w sf jelly
1400-salad mele with roasted chicken and a slice of flat bread
1600-1/2 cupcake
1900-other half of cupcake
2000-grilled chicken, wheat roll
all my water and such. I was nauseus from that half of cupcake so did an hour on the bike instead of a run. I did one of the set programs in the bike and it was hard! Report from the bike was 400 calories burned and I was sweaty!
We are going fr a daytrip tomorrow, I will make good choices. I also will go to the store this week so I can make better choices this week.

That makes sense to me about MS and the Pacific Northwest..She was born in Havre MT, graduated college at Bozeman MT..lived in Rapid City SD for a time and then moved to Seattle. It wasn't until the 60's that she moved to Huntington Beach CA and from there back to Great Falls MT where she died..

They still claim that there isn't enough evidence to prove that it's genetic but her sister has it..my brother's wife and his mother in law have it..the good thing is that now there are drugs that can be taken and my aunt is taking bee-sting therapy and that's working for her..

The girls brought in three giant boxes of donuts today..makes me nauseous just thinking about it. Someone was standing over the boxes trying to decide on the healthiest one..LOL. I said that's hillarious! Where on the Titanic do you wanna stand? The front or the back? Which spot is safer? LOL.. same difference.

You did great! Keep up the good work. See ya..

I wonder if it is a vitamin D issue linking MS to PNW. I work with two people with MS. One diagnosed early and I have never seen her have a flare up! The other was in denial and diagnosed late and she is not doing well, she is on IV infusions and still has frequent flare ups.

The donut thing made me laugh out loud; a healthy donut? The only healthy donut is the one you did not eat! Maybe some of EggFace's protein donuts?

I have been eating sugar too much! In the office next to me there is a bowl of snack size candy all the time! It is like bing in a rehab unit but there is a bowl of crack there to "test" you.

HO LEE GAWD! You just sent me a come to Jesus moment and didn't even know it. I was given a script by the PCP in December to get my D tested in February cuz it's headed down..but I got so busy in February that I blew it off..I'm calling the doctor today to get a new script and get that done NOW>..

I know! The donuts were the last straw! I walked by and closed the lids so I don't have to smell them..

Good evening Dawn and Mary. Thank you both for your encouragement and support. I was doing some reading yesterday and decided today to be more careful about separating my fluids and solids. I think I have become a bit unmindful. This helped for the first half of the day, but things got a little rocky after that. Still, I think its important and will work on it more tomorrow. I also got my first shipment of DaVinci SF syrups (five flavors...) Yummy.

You know I have been changing over to the new laptop and didn't want to copy the favorites file (as I have not had good formating issues with this in the past) and I was thinking today that I really wanted to get on the old laptop to find the address that Dawn had recommended some time ago. Then, Mary typed it in her post. Some days even smell sweet. Thanks again ladies.

Today:
morning: cheese omelet, soy strips, protein drink and coffee.
midday: homemade taco, flavored water, cottage cheese and applesauce.
evening: (this is where things started to come undone todaymilk, chocolate bar, fruit gummies, falafel sandwich (well, part of it), baklava, tea with milk and DaVinci and then after midnight: SF pudding

today's totals:
calories: 1705
protein: 82 grams

lots and lots of fluids and all vitamins.

hope to see you both tomorrow.

I used to binge on baklava but now that I know the sickness I get from it is due to the walnut allergy, it's not as much of a draw for me...I sometimes wish I had gotten the Celiac Disease where I can't eat wheat but it skipped me in our family line!

I love DaVinci syrups..those and the brand they use at Starbucks (Torani)..You rarely find the sugar free flavors. I buy from netrition.com but they won't ship if there is a chance of it freezing'!

You did great! Keep up the good work. See ya.
