2 year Anniversary April 29, 2011
Congratulations! My two year anniversary is Sunday May 1st. It is also my birthday. One of the best gifts I ever gave myself was this new lifestyle.
I was 324 lbs then and now I'm 155. I workout 5-6 times a week and have tons of energy. I'm off to the beach this weekend to celebrate!
You've done an amazing job--sorry to hear that the diabetes didn't resolve, but life overall has to be so much better with the extra weight gone!!

Awesome..I started out alittle under your weight and I'm alittle under your ending weight too...I lost the diabetes and high blood pressure but most of all, I gained control over my eating habits and addictions..It's been a real eye opener, being on maintenance weight to discover my reasons (or excuses) for eating things.
My biggest problem is/was sugar. I'm addicted..So like any addict, when you give it up, you have to give it up for ever..The problem is, there isn't a little man outside the bar telling the alcoholics *just one can't hurt* like there is with donuts, cookies and cakes...one does hurt when you have an addiction. One leads to a dozen..For addicts, moderation doesn't work!
At least that's what I've found..I'm glad you're here..Congrats!

Congratulations! What a success. I am pretty much the same as you. I too have diabetes that I thought would resolve after surgery, but has not. I am off insulin though and for that I am very grateful. I still have to take 2 meds to stay in control. I went from 253 to 172 so far. Hopefully if I can lose more I will have better diabetes control. Next week is my 2 yr surgiversary. Although the diabetes isnt gone I feel so much healthier and energetic (most of the time). Best wishes to you!
