is ANYONE 10 years or more out??

Hi! I am 10 years out from RNY. I have never been a part of a support group but I feel the need now. The problem is, I can not seem to find anyone who is more than a few years out. Is anyone out there? Am I alone?

You are not alone.  I am 8 years post op from my RNY.  I regained weight (90 pounds!) due to steroids and some poor choices on my part.  I am finally losing again!  It is definitely slower the second time around.  I have lost about 60 pounds since July.  

I'm not sure what exactly you are going through, but I'm here if you need me!

Congratulations Stephanie! Way to go. It's true it's harder the second time around but we can do it and you're doing great.

I too am 8 years post RNY and have regained about 50 pounds.  How do you get it back off.  Any helpful suggestions.  I am just sick about it.  None of my clothes fit any longer UGH.......

There's a gob of us on a yahoo group. The group started in 1999 and you had to be a year out to speak. I'm a 1994, but we still have some of our original 1998 members.

I am six years out--long way from 10--but still it has been a while.  Really I am doing okay.

Someone just posted about being 10 years out on the main board yesterday. Of course I can't remember her name, but you can find her post pretty easily I'm sure.

Check out the Georgia board.  Ginger has posted about being 10 years out.  She is a support group leader.  Great girl!!  I met her once.

I'llbe 10 yrs out in a couple months. I've been here for years, and see a few older posties but mostly newbies. There's a graduates group that was older post ops also.  You're not alone- there are still a few of us out here.
