XPost - Wish my Pouch would cooperate

Let me start off by saying my husband and I are separated and will be getting a divorce.

I'm struggling a lot to eat.  A few bites of dense protein and nothing else is going in.  I've gotten stuck a couple of times trying to force more food in.

I know it's stress related.  It is weird how different emotions, even different types of stress cause me to eat differently.  I need to get more protein drinks in I guess, I'm lazy I admit when it comes to mixing them up and every darn RTD I've ever liked is no longer being manufactured.  Any suggestions on RTD?  Oh Yeah makes me sick, Adkins or Slim Fast make me sick (unless I put a little of it in coffee), AchieveOne was my baby before they changed the recipe.

I'm now down to 123 lbs and my family is on my ass to not go lower, it doesn't look good.  My pants are too big and I can't afford to go shopping.

Suggestions besides yogurt, cottage cheese, and cheese that would be soft and easier to eat.  I'll take higher fat, higher carb just something more on the soft side.

First of all, I would like to say how sorry I am to hear about your divorce.  Divorce is hard on the tummy.  My sister went through one a couple of years ago and got scary thin.  She hasn't had WLS, but she does have Crohn's Disease.  Once things settled down and the worst part was over, her tummy settled down too and she is now back to her normal weight.  So, hang in there, things do get better with some time.

Some things that I eat when my tummy acts up are peanut butter crackers, bananas with peanut butter, and canned soups.  When I am stressed or worried my pouch gets grouchy, and those things usually go down pretty good.

I never was a big fan of protein drinks.  So, I had to get creative when trying to get the protein in when I was early out years ago.  I would add the unflavored protein powder to pudding and jello.  I would also buy the packets of sugar free coolaid and mix up a half gallon and put the powder in there.

Good luck, I will be thinking about you. You and I interacted years ago when we were both just starting out on this journey.  I keep up with you and a few others I remember from when I first started out.  I hope things improve for you real soon.  Hugs!
