Accountability - Monday
Of course I got up late today..time changes always really mess up my brain. But I'm still looking forward to next weekend so .. whatever I have to do this week is no big deal! And I heard this morning from my step daughter, we and the family are coming down the week of April 3rd..YEAH! what fun we're gonna have. I need to put in for some vacation days but still wondering what
5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
5:45 am 1/4 serving protein waffle, 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup
6:45 am double espresso latte
7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton - can't remember the flavor just now..
8:15 am 1 oz mozzarella cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat
9:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange
10:15 am 10 grapes, 3 chunks of melon (well, a cup of fresh fruit anyway!)
11:10 am small orange
12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half
12:50 pm 3.5 oz lean burger on a sandwich thin with barbecue sauce (one packet), 3 slices tomato, 1 lettuce leaf
1:40 pm 24 oz drink mix, Morning spark Grapefruit Caffeinated
2:45 pm 1 hard boiled egg
4:00 pm 24 oz drink Mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Juicy Red
4:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Lipton Mandarin and Mango
6:45 pm beef polish sausage on a low carb hotdog bun with mustard and a 1/2 cup of boxed potato mix..au gratin..
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1333
Fat: 60.7
Carbs: 125.3
Protein: 86.4
Hmmm. not enough protein and WAY more carbs than normal. But I'm done for the day..

Hi Dawn! I've been missing you. The last few days have been a bit crazy. My husband is leaving next week for 3 or 4 months... so everything in the house is in an uproar. Saturday and Sunday's food logs are 'incomplete' and today's is totally blank..
But I did find a new sugar free maple syrup this weekend. I think about those protein waffles you have and, even though I don't have a waffle maker, I could come up with a high protein recipe for pancakes..
The table and the wall were safe from me today, but I think I may have eaten everything else.. hoping that the days ahead go a bit smoother. I miss my daily log. I'll see if I can at least keep up the log for tomorrow.

you can experiment with low carb pancake mix or biscuit mix..Here's my recipes:
This one was from theworldaccordingtoeggface.com:
1/2 cup cottage cheese
2 eggs
1/3 cup low carb pancake mix
alittle water to make a pancake batter
I modified it to use CarbQuick (which is a low carb pancake mix) and got a recipe on the box so I modified what I got from eggface:
1/3 cup carbquick
2 eggs
1/2 cup cottage cheese..
Then I found CarbThin, which is low carb protein baking mix..and it said 3 scoops protein powder and 3 eggs and alittle water..
So I came up with this for my waffles and/or pancakes:
2 eggs
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup plain soy milk (alot of the recipes call for water so I just added the milk to put MORE protein in there)
2 scoops Carbthin soy protein baking mix
1/3 cup CarbQuick baking mix
then I added flax seed meal (I buy the seed and grind it myself) 2 Tablespoons
Now if you put some water in with it, you can control the thickness of it so you can make pancakes. and when you get to experimenting with it you can add a handful of sugar free chocolate chips..you can add sugar free syrups..

Well, I thought I was doing good for the day, but apparently the hamburger patty I ate was the wrong choice :-( Considering how my day has ended...I shouldn't be surprized..grrrrr. Some days I HATE living in our state capital...the traffic is abomidable at times. Was suppose to go to a dance exercise class and then on to my support group meeting..no way, Jose! 5-lane freeway...4 lanes completely stopped and the 5th lane is the 'diamond lane' meaning it's for car pooling, 2 people or more in a car. They were barely moving! So I turned around and came home. :-( Chose the hamburger patty without checking the fat calories..WOW!

Mondays are horrendous. We were super busy at work plus recovering from the time change of the weekend. I hate the freaking time change. Why can't we leave it one way of the other? Either way would be fine with me but the older I get the more difficult it is to compensate for a single hours worth of sleep.

L: Chicken Salad on a 1/2 of a Flat Out wrap (Light Italian herb = WONDERFUL) 1/2 cup of homemade potato salad (I've started using 1/2 mayo & 1/2 Fage)

D: Country Style Steak & a small green salad
lns: SF Banana pudding
Got my vitamins in. Got my water in. Got a lot of exercise in (took the dogs for a walk - played with the goats - threw the tennis balls for the dogs for what seemed like hours)
