Meal Planning & a new find

In getting back on track I know I have to preplan my day - if not I tend to graze and then when I log it at the end of the day - I'm astonished, humiliated and ticked off at how much I've consumed. One of the most critical things for me is having a well stocked pantry, fridge & freezer (at home & at work). that includes quick fixes and snacks. If my choices are healthy then there's half the battle already won.

I normally eat breakfast at work. Egg beater omelettes are a snap to fix in the microwave. Oatmeal is another. High Fiber Dry cereal mixed into yogurt is the weekend favorite. Even with several standards I still crave variety. I should also add here that I'm the queen of cheap and love a coupon/store bargain.

Today's find fills the bill on all accounts. Ham & Cheese Scamble by Weigh****chers Smart Ones - Morning Express.  OMG!!!!!!  220 calories - 9 g fat - 13 carbs - 1 g sugar and 21 g of protein.  Not to shabby.Smells Great & Tastes Good too!! Convenient. Just 2 minutes in the microwave. I don't eat alot of these type meals but this one just sorta hit the spot this morning. Normal price was $2.99 but I had a coupon for $1 and my local grocery is doubling upto $2 so for  99 cents I had a pretty decent start to my day.

Hope the trend continues. I've planned for it to.

I haven't tried that one.  I love the Jimmy Dean D-Light breakfast bagel sandwich.  Another fave is cottage cheese and NSA peaches and 1/2 ww english muffin.  I like variety too--I can't eat the same thing 2 days in a row.

Have you tried eating 6 times a day?  It really helped me as far as curbing hunger.  Today I had 3 oz roasted chicken for my "second breakfast" at 8:00!!

Have a great "on plan" day!

Great suggestions for meal planning this is something that I have to make a habit because I also graze when my day is not planned!

I am starting a new diet called the "POP DIET"  I know we aren't supposed to "diet" per say....but the new POP diet fits the bill perfectly for us. Is is the "Point of Purchase" diet. Don't bring home what you know is wrong for your healthy lifestyle. Don't eat anything that you wish you could purge later.
That's it, a version or addition to the thought of "mindful eating."

Remember when you are at the store about the "POP" diet.
