Starting Over...Thank you
Ten days ago I posted because I was in a place where I was going to have to start again. I had gained 44 pounds of what I lost and was miserable.
Ten days later I have a grip on things again and am making progress. Thank you all for the support and please keep it coming.
Next on the agenda...more exercise.

First thing I did was call my surgeon and tell him that after 6 years I had regaind almost 45 pounds. He set up an appt (several weeks out) to check on my pouch and make sure nothing was wrong. He had his nutritionist give me a call and she told me about the 5 day pouch test. told me to add unlimited sugar free popsicles, sugarfree jello, and up to 2 cups sugarfree pudding a day. Other then that I followed the test for 5 days now I eat anything on days 3-5 adding 1/2 cup cooked veggies or 1 cup salad at breakfast and lunch. have to do that for 9 days to totally kick the carb cravings. diet soda and crystal light are great. then she has a plan for me to add back in the other foods.
Exercise was not what it should have been so I upped it by 10 minutes and switched it up. I am not losing as fast as I did the first 5 days but...my clothes that have not fit for 3 months fit again...If the scale does not move but the inches do I am happy.
Keeping track of everything that goes in my mouth helps as well. That all worked for me. My advice is try until you find what works for you and if you need help ask your doctors.

I had also gained about 20 back. Mostly what helps is to cut out the carbs, you will get control of your hunger. I did the 5 dpt and it helped but my pouch still feels the same, not really tighter. I think it is more helpful on kicking the carbs. You can do this without doing the 2 days of liquids as that is the most difficult. I also went started drinking a protein shake as my nighttime snack because that is when I used to cheat the most. Good luck and if you have a bad day just start fresh tomorrow :)
