I go Wednesday for an endoscopy with my surgeon. I had ulcers prior to RNY in 2008. I started picking up weight late in the summer into the fall of this past year. After some "soul searching" and detailed food logging - we realized that I was eating to get rid of the burn in my belly. My ulcers have never been painful just a grumbling burning feeling between meals. So I feed them. Not a great decsion. He's had me on Nexium for the past week and that seems to be helping.

Good Luck to you.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I was taking prevacid, but it seems like it has gotten worse.    Lately I also have been eating to make the burning go away which leads to grazing and crackers with butter because it makes me feel better.  Which lead to weight gain.  So now I am taking carafate 4 times a day and protonix instead of the prevacid.  It really makes a difference.  I have been scoped twice since my rny.  Best of luck, Raynetta
