I think so long as they are not enteric coated, yes..but someone else probably has other suggestions. I take rapid release tylenol..and that might be better than the regular capsulated meds..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

My surgeon said not to take meds in capsule form so I try to limit them.  If I need to take a capule I drop it in ho****er for a few seconds and then drink it down.

I like the ho****er idea, I'll give it a try.  I normally ask for small pills but it slipped by me this time.  These are butt kicking antibodics and I already had left the store so...  Once they are out the door you can't return meds.  Guess I'll know in short order won't I.

I take a pin and stick holes in them.  This was just my idea--not sure what my doctor recommends.  Also I try to break most tablets in half.

By capsule you mean two pieces with powder inside? Yes. Roll them around in your mouth for a few seconds to coat with saliva. Saliva breaks down gelatin.

If you are talking a "football" with oil inside, it's the oil that will not be absorbed.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

They are bigger than benedril and smaller then the 'football'.  I couldn't consider trying to swallow the football.  I have to cut almost all pills in half just to get them down.  I'm putting them in some hot tea for a few seconds then drinking them down(one at a time) with the hot tea.  They feel like they are stuck in my throat.  If this was a long term med I would be calling for a replacement.  It's an antibiotic for a bad tooth so I only have to take them for a few days.  I guess it won't kill me.
Thanks everyone!
