i am just wondering if any one out there has experienced this...

I was eating dinner the other night at a restaruant and had grilled chicken tenders. i accidentally swalled a rather large piece of chicken that i had not chewed. about 10 minutes later i had severe upper gastric pain and had to vo**it. I was able to get the chicken up but now i have a "tenderness"  in my pouch area when i eat solids (liquids dont phase me). I will be following up with my surgeons office, but just wondered if anyone has had these same symptoms?

Yes. I've had that..at least you didnt' try and push that big piece through your stoma. It's probably bruised and you'll feel tender for a couple of days..if it lasts longer than a couple of days, a call to the surgeon is in order but you probably know that.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I have done that.  It usually takes a few days to feel all better.

Weight loss surgery has saved my life and I would recommend it to anyone who has the strength to dedicate themselves to the challenging WLS lifestyle.  This is not the "easy way out."  It's the hardest way out.  "Easy" would have been to do nothing.

Hey guys Thanks! yes, it was most likely a bruised stoma, surgeon not too concerned, pain has resolved with no lingering effects (except i was depending on slider foods the past couple of days) oh well, back on track now! thanks again for the input!
