Accountability - Saturday
Okay so today was a total wash. We waited around all day for that inevitable phone call that was suppose to take place this morning and didn't until 3 pm..it's over..my step daughter's mother has passed away at 63 years of age..sad but over..
My eats for the day:
Breakfast: 1/4 serving of protein waffles and sugar free pancake syrup
snacks: double espresso and soy milk - mozzarella cheese
2nd breakfast: egg sandwich with steak and sandwich thin and mozzarella cheese
lots of coffee and several containers of water with flavor..
Dinner: 1/2 a footlong meatball sub on flat bread.
I'm not sure if the totals are accurate but here they are:
Calories: 1386
Fat: 63.0
Carbs: 108.67
Protein: 106.2
Not all in all bad or good..Just something to work with..
How did you do?

Dawn, I've had you on my mind all weekend. Wishing there was something I could do that would help, so I prayed for you and family to have the strength to deal with this painful and difficult time.
Sorry that I didn't post yesterday. I've been feeling punk all weekend. Enough to have a couple of seizures. So I just tried to "bring it down" as much as possible.
today:
cottage cheese and applesauce and dried pinapple
flatbread pizza
rava (a kind of porridge that is milk based)
unexpected neighbors who came to introduce themselves and welcome me..(I was in my pajamas...they probably now know more than they wanted...) but.. I served them cookies I had baked and they brought me cookies they had baked... maybe I'll met some vegatable neighbors soon.
today's totals:
calories: 1800
protein: a sad 57 grams
all fluids and vitamins
looking for a better tomorrow.

Seizures are not a good thing. Do they know what causes them? I was hearing over the weekend that mini seizures can be from migraines..my son has migraines occasionally. I know he's unusual cuz boys don't usually have them but my husband did and does and his mother did..
When you're having health issues, the scheduled protein sometimes goes out the window and you have to go with what sounds good at the time. Sometimes I'll nibble noodles from noodle soup all day..LOL..those are the days that the protein hardly even shows!
LOL.. about the new neighbors. Maybe one of your neighbors will bring you tacos! LOL..
Keep up the good work and feel better. See ya.

A taco bearing neighbor. Now That's something to dream about...
We don't know the cause of the seizures, but they do seem to be associated with migraines (I couldn't understand that because I thought a migraine was a non-stop pain that left you on the floor and I don't have that.) One nurologist told me "you have too much electrical activity on the brain" and I though: "Wow. No joke!Am I really paying to here THAT?"
But they are a sure indicator of too much stress...
thanks for the note.

Migraines come in all shapes and sizes. My son gets extremely sensitive to light, gets the photo flashing (flashing lights in his vision) and nausea..my husband is the same way. Light sensitive and nauseated..Not really sure what my mother-in-law had but they used to call those *sick headaches* back then and knew NOTHING about them.
For our son, sinus medication seems to help. I think it's sinuses inside the head that put pressure on nerves in there and with seizures having to do with short circuits inside the brain...yeah, I can see it. It sounds logical to me.
Our son spiked a fever at 16 months old when he got his first tooth and an ear infection the same exact moment and seized for 15 seconds, then stopped and seized for 5 minutes and then stopped for a moment and then siezed for about 20 minutes. According to the emergency room doctor after they air lifted him in, it is a *fun* or *interesting* thing for the brain to do and it will keep doing it without intervention..they put our son on phenobarbitol for 2 years because of it. We had to wait till his brain *forgot* how to seize..
It makes sense for it to be connected to stress too!

Thank you for your prayers..they are much appreciated!
I know there are many out there *****ad but don't post. Somehow I can feel it..I know we all have our own battles in the same war and that keeps my heart humble..A wise woman (Michelle aka eggface) posted the following on facebook the other evening:
Just 'cause you got the monkey off your back doesn't mean the circus has left town. The FIGHT is FOREVER.
Good luck to you and THANKS..
