update from "Second Thoughts" guy

First, I want to thank all *****sponded to my posts.  I'm sorry that I didn't thank you all individually, but I did read everything everyone wrote, and it was very helpful.

Regardless of what it might say over to the side (does anyone know how I can change that?--I can't find it), I have decided *not* to have the lap-band surgery.  I know many of you have had great success with it, and I wish you continued success, but my research shows that long-term success with one is highly questionable.

Meanwhile, my surgeon's office went ahead and appealed the sleeve gastrectomy for me--and I was approved today.  Now I have to decide if I want to do it, as opposed to other options, including non-surgical ones.  I will research it over the next few days and make a decision next week.
