Accountability - Wednesday
Wow..so much going on for a short week...And stressful too. My younger step daughter has left Sacramento and is headed to Seattle to see her mother. Her mother is still in a drug induced coma and is gravely ill, suffocating to death slowly...We all sit and hold our collective breathe but there isn't much that we can do.
5:45 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
6:00 am 1/4 serving protein waffle, 1/2 large apple, 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup
6:30 am double espresso with plain soy milk frothed
7:00 am 24 oz Herb Tea, Lipton Passion Fruit Strawberry
8:30 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat
9:30 am 1 medium orange raw
10:15 am 24 oz Drink Mix with Ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange
11:00 am chicken salad: 5 oz chicken thigh meat (no skin), 1 cup lettuce, 1/2 tomato, 1/4 cucumber, 1 oz thousand island dressing
11:45 am 12 oz decaf w/ Half n half
1:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix with ice, Power Edge Tangerine/Strawberry Caffeinated
2:00 pm 1 hard boiled egg
2:45 pm 24 oz Drink Mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea
4:15 pm 1 small apple, 2 Tablespoons peanut butter (this is stress food...!)
4:45 pm 24 oz Herb Tea, White Peach
6:30 pm 3 oz polish sausage on a sandwich thin with processed american cheese and brown mustard..and 1/3 mashed potatoes
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1658
Fat: 87.1
Carbs: 125.7
Protein: 110.4
Those carbs in the late after noon were totally stress related. apple with peanut butter isn't bad but I would have headed for a half dozen donuts. Two girls in our office were put on leave and the whole office is scared to death..
I could use another water bottle (actually, I could use something stronger.) or some tea..I'm thinking Camomile.

I hope your step daughters mom is at peace soon. Hard to lose a parent. Put on leave' does that mean laid off? I had a busy dayatwork, assignmnets are piling up; every department wants their education done first! I made it to the gym after dinner but only walked on the TM, I was kind of feeling like my blood sugar was low, but I do not see how it could of been. I had eggs w ham and cheese, salsa and half a bagel thin.Strange!

Yum..I need to figure out how to make a sugar free angel food cake! My great grandmother used to make the real thing for me for my birthday..

I'm so sorry to hear of the impending passing of their mother...it so hard on everyone involved. And you're right, there isn't anything you can do but be there to listen.

I didn't have a better day but the week is over so..at least I have a nice long weekend AND it's Valentine's Day weekend..gotta be something better there. Nothing about my daughter's mom yet. She's still hanging in there.
Your numbers are awesome..Great carb number (lower than the protein number) and great protein number. You should be feeling really good about that list. all good carbs so that number doesn't count as a bad number at all. Asparagus! YUM. Really..not a slice of bread, pasta or rice...nothing white at all..You did awesome..

0100 1c peanut flips
0330 1c celery sticks w/ 2tbsp natural PB
20 oz H20 w/ slimqiick pckt
8 oz green tea (plain)
0745 1c RAW/bare oatmeal w/flax; 3tbsp mixed nuts; 1/2c chopped apple; bestlife buttery spray;
1100 1 hot dog on bun (plain)
1800 2/3c chili con carne and 1 crescet roll, 1 bite brownie (1 inch by 1/2 inch)
2130 8 parmesean cheese crisps (homemade-1/4c parm cheese baked)
20 oz H20 with slimquick packt
20 oz coffee w/ FF half & half
all vitamins :) (B12, B6, Bcomplex, calcium,omega 3,6,9,VitE, multivitamin, senna)
Did much better with my fluids today-yaaaay!

Much better on the fluids..good job..You had some good carbs..chili, veggies, fruit..good job. You only had one bun (bread) and alittle oatmeal isn't bad - it's good.

sorry to hear about your step daughters mother.
well my scale this morning said between 158 and 159 pounds.. so i am in the 150 area now and not above 160 .. yeah... i am doing something right.....
i didnt exercise yesterday but i will today.
here are my foods for wed.
B- oatmeal cottage cheese pancake
(1/4 c. cottage cheese, 1/4 c. oatmeal, 1 egg, cinn, van. pinch of baking powder.
these are so good...
half banana
L- 3 oz. chicken breast
1/3 c. macaroni
1/8 c. pasta sauce
1/2 c. green beans
Snack straw protein shake
1 c. 2 % milk
1/2 banana -- yumm in my blender it went...
D- 3 0z hamburger
1 slice american cheese
1/4 c. cottage cheese
2 oz baked potato
snack - before bed
2 slices split top wheat bread
1 T pb
some honey
5 c. coffee
48 oz. water
2 c. cold tea

AWESOME...I just love my protein pancakes..cottage cheese, egg and the rest..makes for a great start to a good day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
I love your list today..awesome..plenty of fluids too. Some people don't count the coffee and most days I don't but I do count the caffeine drinks that I drink. I don't think it dehydrates you and I don't think it causes problems so long as your stomach can handle the acidity of it..
