Wow...I discovered or re-discovered irritant #2 today (who also shall remain nameless) but they cast dispursions on weight loss surgery, referring to it as *quick fix* and those of us posting today can relate to how much it is NOT a quick fix..Fad diets are no more a quick fix than moderation works for alcoholics or drug addicts...you can quote me on that! Argh..Also: WLS is the easy way out like having a cesarean is the easy way through child birth! Okay, vent over..
My eats for Friday
5:30 am 1/4 serving protein waffles (no apple), 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup and butter buds
6:30 am double espresso with 1/2 cup plain soy milk frothed
7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton Vanilla Caramel
8:00 am 1 oz jack cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat
8:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
10:30 am Medium grapefruit, raw
11:00 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half
12:45 pm most of a salad: 4 oz turkey dark meat, 1 cup lettuce, 1/2 medium tomato, 1 oz dijon vinaigrette
2:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix with ice, GV Strawberry
3:00 pm 1 hard boiled egg and the rest of the salad
3:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea
4:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, with ice, Wyler's Pink Lemonade
6:00 pm 3.5 oz steak, 6 french fries, 1 T ketchup, 1 T mayo
Totals for the day:

Now that's a great day! Better than yesterday..I'm ready for the weekend..

I ate a LOT of food today
2 100-calorie cereal/protein bars
2 160-calorie nut/fruit bars
3 protein shakes
(that's 820 calories!)
And then for dinner I made Lasagna, probably 200 calories for one 1/2 cup serving.
I will probably have a second helping, and so that will put me at about 1300 calories for the day. (when you add in the glass of almond breeze I drank)

I know, when I figure my totals during the day I'm 400 after my snack, 900 after lunch and just before dinner, 1000...so whatever I have for dinner...

Well Dawn, Mary, Nancy, Anita. I am simply too embarrassed to write out what I ate today. Things started out great.. but 5 hours into my day..I can't write it down, it's hard enough trying to "keep it down" (I have a serious dread of throwing up). But, I've been out to the grocery store and have loaded up on fish and veggies. After all, stress and fatigue can't last forever. Can they?
My weight was good this morning, it's back to 142.4. I'm still trying to get it just under 140 as a control point (meaning alarms should go off if the scale is over 140).
Today was just the kind of day that I need to look back at and say: "Let's try not to do that again!"
Dawn, how are you getting so much protein? You list a lot of drinks. Do you put protein powder in them? I just can't seem to get the protein count that you do.

Leila, there is not one of us on this board that hasn't fallen. We're all human. Don't be embarrassed..and dont' beat yourself up. What good does it do? You're suppose to be your own best friend so don't treat yourself any less than you would if you were talking to your very best friend. You'd be gentle and loving and NOT harsh..no harsh..

For two pounds? Seriously girl..two pounds is 32 ounces of water..not worth getting postal over..You're doing great! everyone has off days, just figure it's a day off and tomorrow, back to working it!

Quick fix huh? You had an excellent day; good for you, and all of us who just keep "doing it" every day. Some days we do it better than others! Busy dayat work. Went to a meeting that was not what I was expecting and was kind of ambushed by a whole department. Ended on a better note than I anticipated after the rough start.
0900-oatmeal w splenda, boiled egg, veggie sausage
1100-rf string cheese
1330-chicken ceasar salad w dressing on the side and a small nutty wheat roll
1600-hummus and a whole wheat small pita
1930-1/2 chicken marsala w some pasta and a side of steamed spinach-yummo
2115-skinny cow
not enough water, all my vits and an hour of pilates. Missed my run at the Y because I had a black bra and brought a white t shirt to run in. I didn't feel like putting on a peep show.

Wow...that's a victory! I'm not sure I could do that at all. That's why I can't even try a candy bar. After staying away from candy for this long, even a snack size hershey (drug of choice) would make me sick..
I love salad with meat on it...love it! I'm getting pretty good at creating different combos of it too..chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and left over steak yum...ceasar salad..YUM. Even chicken marsala (when I put it over cooked cabbage) is a salad..making me hungry! I need breakfast.

hi all,
well i did some exercise. ho****er froze yeasterday so i had to shovel an area to put a small heater to defrost the pipes also i was doing running in place with my weights and moving them up and down. i had a good day.. i write my foods down on paper right after i get my food.
B- 1 boiled egg
1 egg white
1 slice ww bread with butter
L- 1 1/2 c. chili- now its all gone.
7 saltines- they are gone too.. lol..
snack- string cheese and 5 ritz crackers
D- 1 c. mixer of fake lobster meat and frozen shrimp with onoins and garlic cooked in butter :-(
1/2 c. cooked spagetti
snack- 2 slices ww bread
maybe 2 T. pb
1 T. sugar grape jelly.. bad....
32 oz water
4 c. coffee
4 c. cold tea and ice
my drinks are boring huh..

You can add splenda and a drop or two of extract to a container of water and change the flavor if you need to. I have sugar free syrups that I bought on line (basically to pad an order cuz the shipping was better) and that's what I'll be doing to regular tea probably today..
You did awesome..I need to get the wii out and do some jogging and step. Everywhere I look the signs are telling me 30 minutes of cardio and I'm not getting it..I need to at least try. Maybe today..You've inspired me.
