Hello Mary and everyone. I looked online before going to bed last night and saw that the post had not been started. I've been offline for the last two weeks and now I'm starting to get to bed earlier and start my day earlier... so I look to post at night..earlier... and I just couldn't make myself start the post last night. I must say that I've really become accustomed to seeing your faces and names each day. I really look forward to coming here and checking in with everyone and especially, for holding myself accountable for my day. It's like Sunray said, I may not do great every day, but it really helps to know that I will get online and share with you and it encourages me to go for the next day and see my progress in my life instead of focusing on my problems for the day.

yesterdayI stopped writing the time midday, but I think I have written down everything I ate..)

egg, toast, protein drink

ice cream sandwich (also the last one, now there are no more nutty buddys and no more ice cream sandwichs.. so I'm almost safe from sugar... okay... I have a sugar addiction that I do not have control over!! God help me..)

bean burrito (look for a lot of these.. they seem to be my current food staple.. love those pinto beans and then I found a really good recipe that I modified for them... ummmm)

dried pinapple, more beans (no tortilla, Dawn told me that the bread may be contributing to the dreaded--gas--)
another bean burrito (with the tortilla, followed by...you guessed it! gas...)

sugar (in any form I could find it..), decaf coffee

yesterday's totals:
calories: 1565
protein: 63 grams (that's right! there's not much protein in that sugar...)

all fluids and vitamins

Happy to see you all and hoping Dawn is okay. Have a good day everyone.

I don't know why I have food amnesia today!

Ok, here's what I remember having (I was having CRAZY carb cravings and I found out why yesterday afternoon...ladies...):

1. 1 packet sf maple/brown sugar oatmeal w/ 2 tbsp peanut butter
2. High-fiber mozzarella sticks (homemade) with low-sugar spaghetti sauce for dipping
3. A handful of pretzels
4. One of those little chicken salad packets from the dollar store (very yummy but not particularly beneficial, I know) w/ 4 crackers
5. 1.5 meatballs (me and ground meat don't get on well)
6. 1 c. cottage cheese w/ powdered peanuts and Splenda
7. A large decaf coffee with nondairy creamer (I count that because the amount of creamer I used added quite a few calories)

I got all my fluids. Did NOT get all my vitamins. Took all my calcium. Somehow iron eludes me. Boo.

Today I have a better plan (thank you AUNTIE):

1. ½ c. rolled oats + 1 scoop of vanilla protein + a little milk, water, splenda, a few sprays of 0 cal butter spray and cinnamon (tastes like a hot cinnamon bun!)
2. 4 oz. tuna + a little light mayo and bleu cheese and Frank's Red Hot buffalo wing sauce on a lightly salted rice cake w/ ½ c. steamed broccoli with garlic
3. 2 scoops of Click, hot with water and Splenda
4. I've been promising the kids my homemade chicken nuggets forever. Tonight I'll probably make them. Maybe with some edamame.
5. Cottage cheese w/ powdered peanut, Splenda and Fiber One

just a suggestion...try Jenni-o Turkey meatballs...come in Italian, Homestyle and 1 other, (I think)....I don't handle beef well, either, and find these work great.
Have a great day!

I’ve tried every meatball on the market (I can't do beef either btw). It doesn’t seem to be the kind of meat with meatballs though. My pouch doesn’t like masses of ground meat. I can’t do burgers of any type and meatloaf has to be super moist (which usually means it has a lot of fat and I dump on fat so…there ya go!).

Thanks for the suggestion though! I usually make meatballs for the kids and just eat a half of one or a whole one. That’s about what my pouch allows.
