Accountability - Friday
I've had it with this week. If it was 6 days long, I'd be taking a sick day tomorrow...BLAH!
My eats for Friday:
5:45 am 1/4 serving protein waffles, 1/2 apple - microwaved, 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup
6:15 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
6:45 am double espresso with 1/2 cup plain soy milk frothed
7:00am 24 oz Herb Tea, Lipton Passion Fruit and Strawberry
8:30 am 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1 pc turkey breast deli meat
10:00 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange
11:00 am salad: 2.5 oz leftover steak, 1 cup lettuce, 1/2 roma tomato, 1/4 cup canned corn, 1 oz three cheese italian dressing
12:00 am 12 oz decaf with half n half creamer
1:00 pm 2 raw carrots plain
2:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix with ice, GV Strawberry
3:15 pm 1 hard boiled egg with onion salt
3:45 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, with ice, Power Edge Tangerine Strawberry Caffeinated
5:30 pm a tiny little corona light..7 oz size.
6:30 pm 5 oz chicken thigh, with out the skin, 6 french fries..
totals for the day:
Calories: 1263
Fat: 60.7
Carbs: 74.8
Protein: 98.2
Have a happy Friday..I did alright and could do some more but I think I'm done..that little bitty beer did me in..I didn't know they had beers in those tiny little bottles..too cute. I'll be getting my pain meds for my elbow tomorrow...and give them a try this weekend but I think just giving my elbow and arm a rest from computer input is gonna be really helpful..

Question...are oranges a bad choice??

That's a problem I had with jus****ching numbers and not looking at the carbs..Yeah, oranges have high carb numbers but they don't cause reactions for your sugar because they have enough fiber to keep your digestion busy..so, while the carb number looks alarming you have to look at the carbs that caused that number...oranges? No problem...now if you'd have had several servings of ritz crackers to get that same number..THAT would have been a problem. You do need the carbs/fiber for obvious reasons (constipation sucks)..and the good ones are GOOD..
Of course, I'm not a NUTritionalist, I don't even play one on television or OH but it's my belief..
I will take oranges, apples, pears over slices of bread any day..

Dawn...you may not be a NUT,(ok, maybe a little one in real life) but I sooo value your imput! I saw the carb count and got really depressed...thinking, crum! I can't even eat fruit without a cost??? I mean, apples are great..but get boring after a while...I like to have choices!
Again, thank you for the feedback...I alway look for it. Just when I think I screwed up...you come back with positive reinforcement and encouragement...I so appreciate it ^_^

LOL...Nooooo. Potato chips aren't just white, they are loaded with fat AND salt..but if you managed to stop at 12, you still win..I keep the chips where I cant' see them cuz if I see them, and I'm feeling carby (or crappy, lol) I'll eat the whole darn bag..

Alot of people talk negative to themselves..I figure, the least I can do is talk to you all like friends would speak to you..positive feedback is something we don't always get when we listen to that little voice in our head..You can see that from some of my days..Life is too short not to treat yourself like the wonderful person that you are..don't let anyone, including your inner voice, treat you less than nice..

I am so tired! I did boot camp 0530-0630 and pilates at work from noon to 1. I am going to bed!

here is my foods for friday...
B- 1 slice w w toast with 2 T pb
L- 1/2 c. cottage cheese with dry jello
Snack- 2 slices american cheese and 2 saltines
1/2 scoop straw. protein powder and 1/2 c. 2 % milk
D- 1/2 c. instant rice
5 oz chicken stir fry
Snack - 6 whole pacans
before bed Snack- 9 ritz crackers and maybe 2 T pb
4 saltines and 2 slices american cheese
5 c. coffee
40 oz water
1 c. cold tea

Well, I started Saturday by barfing breakfast, not an auspicious beginning. Another way to look at it is that it can't go anywhere but up.
I'll be working Saturday from 9 to 12 teaching test prep to high school students. It's fun but it wears me out. I've made the commitment to help them until they take the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) in April, which they need to pass to be able to graduate. Then I'll have Saturdays to myself again. BTW, don't you think that the phrase "assessment test" is redundant?
Here is my day;
6:30 One slice high fiber wheat bread, 2 Tbsp low fat cream cheese, 2 oz. lox. BIG mistake
7:45 Muscle milk light
10:30 Snapple diet peach tea
Plan to have:
12 noon mini bag of pop corn
1:30 1 chicken finger, cole slaw, SF popsicle
4:30 oat bran mini muffins
5:00 Hot Chai tea
7:00 Cheese and artichoke ravioli
8:00 Hot Chai tea
Going out tonight. My son is receiving his 5-year medalion from NA. I am so proud of him. Every year he gives it to me at the ceremony while I cry like a baby. Will try not to cry tonight. --Fat Chance.
