Accountability - Thursday
I know what you mean about waking up and with kids. I don't have kids but do have to get ready for work and that..I found carbquick and carbthin on netrition.com (no worries, I'm just a fan, not a salesman) and started making protein pancakes..If you make a bunch ahead, you can microwave them or just eat them cold with peanut butter between them. Then I graduated to waffles that I just pop in the toaster..breakfast in a flash.. I used that when we went on vacation for two weeks and they freeze really well..You can get creative and put flavored sugar free syrup (ala DaVinci) and make it different flavors. carbthin soy protein baking powder comes in vanilla and chocolate and it's the only protein powder I've ever seen that has more protein than carbs..
You can also make microwave oatmeal and add protein to that..I did that for a long time..regular malto meal and chocolate protein powder..yummer (sort of)..and I bought tvp (textured vegetable protein - from soy) to sprinkle on low fat, low sugar yogurt. that's pretty quick too. The tvp is sort of nutty tasting and crunchy. I like it but I'm stuck on the waffles..
Protein numbers are really subjective to your surgeon..Mine didn't give me many guidlines. I get between 30 and 40% protein per day..but because my protein is so high, I have to have more than normal water to save my kidneys. I drink 120 ounces generally (at least that's my target amount) and don't count coffee..many days I do have a water drink (24 oz) with caffeine but the jury is still out on whether it's dehydrating or bad for us..so I count that, just not the coffee if it's not decaf.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

No pain meds yet. Truth be told, i'm alittle short this week on pay so I'm holding off till the weekend. I'll take the slip in today and pick it up tomorrow..I figure to try it over the weekend anyway to see how it makes me feel before I drive to work under the influence..at least that's my logic..
When I looked it up today it's a codeine dirivative and could make me drowsy or nauseous...Saturday it is then..
Great list today..busy is good..I hope the evaluation goes well for you..I know I evaluate usually well but there are those doubts that are always nagging at me.
Keep up the good work. Seeya

Feeling frustrated but guess I'll just keep plugging away...need a little more protein but think I'll call it a day...hate seeing the fat numbers go up just to get protein...I know I need fat and carbs to get these last lbs off...but my head just can't get around the idea it's ok LOL

Funny thing about the elbow. It never did swell up much so I didn't know. I thought I'd bruised it too. I'll get the pain killer tomorrow and we'll see how it makes me feel. I'm very warry of any medication. I'll be asking the pharmesist about it too...
Don't worry too much about the fat number. The fat you got isn't bad for you. I figure it's good for the skin and hair..I just want it to be less than my carb number and that's all..You're doing awesome. If you're using fitday, take a look at the bottom of the screen when you're done and see the percentages of what you're eating..You might be pleasantly surprised! I know I was. And it made me think more about getting plenty of water in too. when my number goes close or over 40% for protein, I know tha****er is really important..
Keep up the good work. See ya
