Funny what wakes you up in the mornings..I hadn't seen the neighbor's dog in a couple of days and dear hubby mentioned, just as I was falling asleep, that she didn't chase his truck while he was dragging the dirt road..all night long, I listened for her to bark, nothing..her not chasing the drag was bad enough! So I was up before the sun with the flashlight looking around the yard..and here she came! It seems her owners are giving her table scraps now that the neighbor's new girl friend is living there so the dog isn't want to come and sleep on my couch anymore..LOL..Isn't it nice that a dog has so many people who care about her when other dogs are waiting to be put to sleep cuz no one cares? Makes me sad all the same.

I took a nice little impromptu trip to the urgent care this afternoon also..Seems when I fell on my left arm back in July, it hasn't healed up right..I'm in pretty severe pain today..at least I wanted someone to listen to me whine about it... Turns out I broke it back in July and now I have arthritis in it...that radiates down my arm into my hand..pretty painful..damn.

My mini-goal for the day is to consume less caffeine, not including my morning coffee and espresso..LOL..

My eats for Wednesday:

5:00 am 1/4 serving protein waffles, 1/2 microwaved apple, 1/3 serving sf pancake syrup

5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

8:30 am 12 oz Lipton Green Tea

9:00 am 12 oz Lipton Green Tea

You must be doing something right if you dropped more weight...that's good. As for exercise, moving around more is the basics you can do..vacuuming, wall washing...as a matter of fact, I need to do that more..walking is the best!

Wow..blood sugar is rough to control if you have reactive hypoglycemia..that's usually too many white carbs (not whole grain carbs) and not enough protein but I know you're getting enough..Something to work on anyway

Keep up the good work. see ya

ANY sort of housework, done right, can be a work out..washing walls...oh yeah!

If you use your boyfriend's exercise then you kill two birds with one stone. 1) He believes he's helping...2) you're exercising...a win-win..LOL.

Yes, you do need to quit smoking..I know how hard it is..I quit. I can't get my husband to quit. Our problem is that he built the house and because it's *his* house, he should smoke in it..he's smoked for 50 years or more..it's hard to quit..and you can't make anyone quit at all..you can want like hell but...they have to doit themselves.

Keep after it! See ya.

jumping in here Dawn...cus you just educated me!!  'Reactive hypoglycemia'...now I know the name of it!!  And what caused it!  Never having had a problem with blood surgar before WLS, this threw me for a loop and I had no idea what the trigger was :-(  Now that you mention 'white carbs', I can relate the biggest event with honey nut cherrios...(the honey not so much the whole grain cherrio?) or at least I THINK that was it...I know I had the reaction about 20 minutes after I ate them.  Hubby being diabetic knew what was wrong..and made me do the 'stick your finger' thingy...little machine reported back that my blood surgar was 54..he said wayyyy too low.
Thanks for the education...gotta be more careful reading those labels....

Be really careful with that stuff. A friend of mine was driving and started feeling woozy and just about blacked out before she had the car pulled over. Woke up to the truck running and luckily in park on the side of the road..reactive hypoglycemia is nothing to play with..

Mine is controled by staying away from white carbs and staying with high fiber and/or dense protein along with any carbs..

Hey there lady....got on computer late yesterday after work...my son popped over unexpectedly after I got home from work, by the time he left, I headed for the Treadmill to get my walking in.  My day started out well but it kinda went south after my son left...long story...thankfully I get a heads up on my emotions and my resulting eating by keeping track of the food intake thru FitDay.com.  Otherwise, I'm afraid I wouldn't have a clue when I cave to cravings as the trigger gets 'pulled'.....oh well, today is a new day ;-)

B  protein shake w/almond milk w 1/4c raspberries
S 1/2 c 2% cottage cheese
L  3 Jenni-O turkey meatballs w/1tbl bbq, 2oz cheddar cheese
S  Quaker chocolate swirl protein bar, 1oz cheese
D  3oz chicken breast, 2oz cheddar cheese
S  4 Murray SF vanilla cream wafers
BedSnack  Quaker  chocolate mint protein bar

 1607cal  79.6fat  146.2 carb (dang wafers!)  112.9protein
At least the walking was good!  45min=2 miles ^_^

Hope you have a good evening..see ya later

Sometimes we can't control things that cause us to head south...It takes alot of time and practice to recognize the triggers and then plan what to do when..I'm not there yet. I still sometimes stumble and fall..but then, we're all human.

You did great cuz you got some treadmill time. My prime response to getting stressed is to run away..well, walk away. Sometimes very quickly! Usually after I've stuffed a crap load of tortilla chips into my gaping yap...

Keep up the good work. see ya.
