Well I'm finally here
It seems like it was only yesterday that I was visiting OH looking at various surgery options... and now... 3 years later I'm sitting here 200 lbs lighter facing my first 10 lb regain after 2 years of loss.
can we drop the F bomb on this forum? because it would fit right about now ;-)
It's part of the cycle I suppose.
So here I am... ready to get on track.... needing a whole hell of a lot of support (again)
Would I be shot and horse whipped if I asked about the 5 day pouch test? I'm thinking it might get me back in line.
Looking forward to this "new" chapter in my life. They honeymoon is over :(

I would suggest the following:
Create a Food Log for a week or two. This will tell you where you are and (for the sake of example) let's say it's 1800 calories per day.
Next, create a negative 500 calorie per day differential. This would mean your 1800 calories would be reduced to 1300. HOWEVER, let's say (for the sake of example) you start doing the stairmaster every other day for 30 minutes which would burn 300 calories or 150 per day. Now, the 1300 can be 1450.
If you don't cheat, you should lose about 1 pound per week. If you do cheat, seek professional help for your addiction.

I hear ya, Tony. But first, let me say, 200 lb. weight loss??!! Sheesh! Congratulations!
We're in the difficult stage now. I'm not regaining, but I stopped losing many months ago. I seem to be stuck no matter what...but I'm going to keep trying until I find the right combination that works! I know part of my problem is the sugar free lattes I drink - still a lot of milk sugar, I know. I am SO hooked, though. I'm trying to cut back to one a day and increase my exercise. I've been going to the Y and using the treadmill and weight machines - can you say BOR-RING? I found a place today where I can lap swim without breaking the bank, so I'm going to start doing that again. Was doing that for a while at the local college, but it just got too expensive. There's a new place in town now, though, and I can swim as many times as I want for $25.00 a month. Great deal!
Keep trying, don't give up.

Hi Tony,
Same story different numbers for me!! I am also ready to get back on track! I upped my water intake, I think I was very dehydrated for a long time, and I can feel the difference in my skin and my pants! :) If you google 5 day pouch test I believe you will be able to locate a bunch of sites for it . I did that on Saturday!!! For now I am upping water, substituting 1 meal for a protein shake and cutting way back on my fav-carbs!!! I also quit smoking 2 weeks ago so this isn't gonna be easy for sure!!!!!! Let me know what ideas you come up with to get back on track and keep me updated on your progress!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!! Keep in touch!!!!

Hi Tony! I'm here for support and motivation. For myself and for you too!!!!! I need to be held accountable, or at a minimum keep touching base with others in the same "honeymoon over boat". I have decided to really concentrate on my water intake for now. I can see and feel the benefits almost immediately which is great motivation for me. I WILL lose the extra pounds I put on!!!! My clothes are feeling too tight and I don't dare try and squeeze into my cutest little dress for fear I will cause the seams to explode... BUT one day..... I will !!!!! Ok...thanks for listening to me and my pep talk ( for myself and you)!!

I'm still in the losing phase, since I am only 8 months out, but I understand your frustration. The weight loss is much slower now and I fear getting on the scale and ifnding out that I have gained. Hasn't happened yet, but then, I still have eating problems. I know, chew, chew, chew and eat slow, slower, slowest. I know you Tony and I know you will figure this out. No honeymoon lasts for ever but the marriage can. It does take work whether it is a relationship with another human being or with food. I'm with you all the way, and will give you whatevr support I can. Hope to see you next month.
