Hi Everybody!
I haven't posted on OH for a long time - got a little repetitious over at the RNY forum (which is fine, don't get me wrong, there are always lots of new people with the same questions I had), and my home business has kept me very busy. I have lost what they said I'd lose - 60-80% of my excess weight - but I have never reached goal. I'm not regaining, just staying the same at about 40 pounds more than I'd like to be. I decided I still need OH for the accountability and to keep the prize in front of me. I'm 2 1/2 years out, and would love to see Onederland. I've enjoyed reading the posts here and am hoping to be able to contribute a little as well.

Hi, Jenny ...I'm Jane. I haven't been on OH for a while myself. I had my RNY June 1 2007 so it's been a few years. I have put on 13 pounds since I hit my goal weight 2+ years ago and I finally said ENOUGH! (i'm little- barely 5 feet tall- so 13 pounds is alot for me!) I am here for accountability, advise, motivation, and camaraderie !! I came back for a visit here on Saturday and realized I am NOT alone in the weight gain area!! I re-evaluated what I am doing and realized I am not drinking amy where near what I am supposed to PLUS my carb intake is way too high. As soon as I logged off the computer I got out the biggest cup I own and filled it with ice cold water and started drinking away!!! Also cut out most carbs. I must say, I think I was pretty dehydrated for quite some time but since increasing my water I notice my skin looks so much better, yes, even after only 2-3 days!!!! I will be on this site regularly now!! :)

Yeah, carbs are my nemesis, too. I like snacky carbs, like crackers & such, which is bad, bad, bad! Fortunately, I can't eat too many or I get nauseated - that has been my saving grace. no doubt. We'll just have to cheer each other on - a day at a time!

Well today I had a bit more carbs than I wanted, but I had an upset stomach and was stuck in the house (due to SNOW) so I resorted to what I knew would help my stomach ache... 2 slices of white bread. Ughhh... But I will not beat myself up for this.. I DID take the 2 packs of yummy bagels (one plain one everything, yummm) and throw them in the freezer, thus rendering them a NON quick grab and consume item!! YAY!!!! Doing good with my water intake and so-so with my protein intake. Payday I am going to stock up on shakes and snackbars chock full of protein!
