re: RH ??
Guess I'm not lucky and have it. If I don't eat at the first sign of hunger, it sets in quickly. Heart is beating out of my chest, I get super hot, I get the shakies, and super nauseous. What do I do? I know zip about this condition but know it can be very very serious. I just had an "episode". I drank an oz. of milk, ate a RS granola bar and 2 tbsp. peanut butter. Was that the right thing to do? I can't seem to form coherant thoughts when I get like that. I literally turn stupid instantly and walk like a drunk. I need help.
I'm not sure if you mean you feel bad when you don't eat or when you eat too many refined carbohydrates. The symptoms are often the same.
Your body demands water and protein. If you make sure that you give it those things, then you can probably stop your symptoms.
Drinking milk is a great way to get protein and fluid into your system quickly.
Our bodies don't have the same reserves that other people do. After weight loss surgery, we need to continually give ourselves the foods we need in order to keep feeling good. If we go too many hours between eating, we have blood sugar problems. If we take in too many carbs and not enough protein at one setting, we have blood sugar problems. The trick is is eat regularly and really give your body what it needs when you are awake. I eat at approximately 8:00 a.m., noon, 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. That schedule seems to stave off the shakes from hunger and gives me control over my eating so I can get in enough protein.
