Accountability - Monday
Not a bad day..I decided early that I wanted to go to the thrift shop and look at some clothing..and I managed to spend $20..Not just on clothing but dear hubby found a factory car radio for our Mustang and it was just $3.99..and then found a pair of jeans for our son (he's extremely hard to fit with a 26X32 size) for $2.99...Each item of clothing I bought was $1..woo hoo. I have some new (well, new to me!) stuff to wear..sweet..
My eats for today:
Coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
Breakfast: protein waffles, apple and sf pancake syrup (hmmm. Running low on supplies to make these waffles. shopping on line later!)
double espresso with 4 oz plain soy milk
24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Strawberry
24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea
Snack: 5 pc Wendy's chicken nuggets with ranch dressing
24 oz drink mix no ice, GV Strawberry
24 oz drink mix with ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange
Dinner: 1/4 cooked cabbage (as spaghetti noodles), 1/4 lb lean beef patty, 1.5 cup meat spaghetti sauce (using the same lean beef) and a tablespoon of grated parm cheese.
I could have a dessert..probably fruit (a cup of that) with whipped topping. yeah, sounds good.
Well, here are the totals:
Calories: 1722
Fat: 93.5
Carbs: 131.3
Protein: 101.5
Not bad..I could have another cup of tea later but I'm not sure yet..I did really well today.
How did you do?

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Yup. I discovered American Way while my weight was dropping and just can't stay away! I mean where can you get a Ralph Lauren dress that sold for $69.00 on sale somewhere with the tags still on it for $4.99? So I keep going back..I buy things for $1 and if it's dryclean only..i just drop it in the washer. So what if it gets ruined? Unless it's something I really like, it goes in the washer..LOL.

Some of my favorite clothes are from the GoodWill! I did not get the bargains you did but I did get a Jones of New York sweater with tags for $8.00, a jumper from Nordstroms for $4.oo and some Gap jeans with the tags still on for $6.00.I get tos of compliments when I wear rthem and I tell people where I got them and they laugh, I do not think they believe me! I can get stuff about the same price at Macy's or Penneys too. I wait until they have 50% off clearance. I have done okay so far today but the evening is still young. I am really full from dinner right now so that is good!
0915-oatmeal w splenda and a boiled egg
1200-lc chicken ceasar wrap and 1/2 apple
1300-sf cookie
1630-1/2 PBJ on wheat
1800-pot roast, mashed taters, brocoli and some gravy
snack later, I am thinking a protein hot chocolate and graham crackers
I ran a 5 K on the treadmill before work. I really had to talk myself into it one mile at a time! It is so much harder for me to run on a TM than outside, but I hate the cold, wind and rain.
Mary
Tomorrow is staff meeting day which means doughnuts! I have never ate one during the meeting ut did eat a half of one later when they were sitting on the breakroom counter a few months ago. I will bring my breakfast with me to keep my hands and mouth busy and away from the doughnuts.

I have found all sorts of great buys there! I will be wearing my favorite find there tomorrow...a Ralph Lauren Dres that had tags on it for $69 that I bought for $4.99...gotta love that..
I hate when they leave the box of donuts around..just the smell of them bothers me..I have to close the box so I can't see them or smell them..then I have my sugar free candy and WALK AWAY...LOL. most days it works.
You did awesome..5K on the treadmill? AWESOME..
Keep up the good work. See ya.

I know what you mean! Some days I have a hard time getting enough in. Scared to death I'm gonna start losing weight again. I had some stress a while ago and no matter how much I managed to eat, I lost 3 pounds..I'm not afraid so much to lose weight but taking in 1800 calories and STILL losing? It was driving my mind nuts!
When you're busy, it's easy to forget to eat..
You're doing wonderful. Keep up the good work. See ya.

Goodwill is my home away from home. My thirftshop mania has gotten so bad that now Ross and TJ Max are too expensive for the new cheap me.
Saturday I bought two blouses for $3 each and a pair of chinos for $4. The best buy was a tan faux suede jacket for $6; it had tacky plastic buttons, so I replaced them with spiffy metal buttons ($4) and for a $10 investment, I have a jacket that looks like a million bucks.
Eighteen months post op and I'm stuck at 20 lbs. from goal. The carbs are my downfall, so I will clean out the pantry, cupboards and fridge and go back to phase 3 of the post-op diet.
Wish me luck.
