Because you'll need stuff to eat with the cheeses...lunch meat (turkey breast is the best, 1 slice 30 calories and plenty of protein) and also fresh produce like apples..They always said an apple a day and I believe that. It has really good fiber and good carbs and it will keep you pooping..good stuff. I eat cottage cheese with apple sauce, I put peanut butter on apple slices. I put apple on my protein waffles..and I have the other half of that apple later in the day somewhere..5 apples lasts me pretty much all week and right now they're pretty cheap where I shop (3 # for a dollar)..doesn't matter what kind..green are good with cinnamon on them and microwaved for a bit (alittle splenda blend brown sugar...yummer)

Get the lowest sugar yogurt you can. Some of it has way too much sugar in it..

I used to get the individual cheese sticks but now I take a block of cheese and cut it into 1 oz sizes (figuring half a 8 oz block is 4 and then half that and half that...pretty close anyway) and put it in a plastic zippy in the fridge. It's cheaper than single servings.. I also only have one slice of lunch meat at a time so 20 slices is gonna go bad before I'm done. When I open it, I put at least half (count out the slices) in the freezer..When I get down to that last pack in the freezer, it's time to buy another pack and split it..

Of course, I dont' have anyone eating my specialty foods in the fridge. .they used to like lunch meat but they liked bologna and...not my favorite choice! fatty stuff! My son loves the single serving mozzarella sticks but since I have been buying the blocks and cutting it myself, he stays out of that..LOL. He was taking four sticks at a time..now I have them all to myself!

Good luck on the shopping..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
