Thank you! I actually got a ribbon for best table Topics speech. You have to speak for up to two minutes on a topic thrown out by someone. Mine was tell us an emberassing habit you have. I like to use the same bathroom stall in public bathrooms. At work if I start out in the stall on the right I will only use that one for the rest of the day, same thing for movie theatres or wherever.
Weird huh?

Weird? I don't think so.. but funny..yup. I heard Oprah talking with her staff on the show about how she just won't use a public bathroom if anyone is there. She said she knew the conversation would be "Guess who I saw in the bathroom!!!" Then one time the janitor came in while she was there... she just sat tight and waited until she left... We're all just people.

Wow..I remember about Toastmasters...I haven't thought about that in quite some time. I had a section in English Class in my Freshman year that was "public speaking" and I was so scared, I figured the teacher would start alphabetically with the other side of the room but started with ME..It was suppose to be a humorous speech and I had NOTHING prepared..I pulled the whole thing out of my ear and got an A...no idea where that came from! LOL. I guess I've been a comic ever since.

LOVE sf murray's...LOVE them!

You did really well..Keep up the good work. see ya

Sorry to hear about your laptop (of course I am also sorry you had a rough day at work, but I do seem consumed with concern about the laptop..) I'm so worried that something will happen to mine, that I decided to start saving for a new one from now. We sure can be attached to them, can't we??

I learn so much from your posts.. I wrote down the books you recommended to Anita, copied the recipe and was totally amazed to read: "that when you eat bread you get the most horrible gas"... How did you find out that bread causes gas?? Since surgery I have to lead a lonely life in the evening due to some very unpleasant gas... Is bread really the culprit?? Could it be that simple??? Is my life about to take another change for the better????? Please update. After laptops, my next big worry is gas...

Today:
2pm (I know this is late, I just seem to stay up later and later and then sleep later and later..) 1/2 cup ziti and dried pinapple
3pm protein drink
4pm papaya
5pm leftover frozen turkey dinner and decaf coffee
7pm more coffee and turkey leftovers
8pm a blueberry muffin
9pm lentil poori

Today's totals:
calories: 1475
protein: 54 grams

all fluids and vitamins

My protein is too low, have to work on that. But I also can't fiqure out why your calories come out to 1600 and mine come out to 1400... could it be that I underestimate my caloric intake??? oh dear...

can't hardly wait to hear your wisdom on gas.

For me it's the carbs in bread and pasta, even whole wheat. When I have an interview or meeting, I have to stay completely away from that stuff for a couple of days. Oh, that and sugar free candies..I got six packages for christmas from my dear hubby (who doesn't mind the gas at all..lol) and I sneek a piece from time to time..a serving is 3 pcs..Sugar free cakes.

Instead of the fruit, maybe you could eat a hardboiled egg or a piece of cheese wrapped in lunch meat? That might work some. I know the dried fruit has alot of calories and NO protein..I love it but I have to stick to one serving or maybe two a day..so my protein is higher..

You're doing awesome..Keep up the good work. See ya.

Beans are such good veggies! They have all the good carbs..although, they do tend to cause some gas, LOL..musical fruit and all....
