off to weigh****chers I go
I had the same idea in my head as well. I swore I would be different then the people I see that have gained their weight back. Yet here I am, 5 years ago today I had the surgery, and have gained 40lbs back. I look at the pictures at my smallest and can not believe I was ever that thin. I never even saw it at the time. i was just thinking of joining WW on-line today. I would love to get in touch and try to help each other.

So far so good, its amazing how much you get to eat, good stuff of course. All fruits and veggies are 0 points, except starchy veggies like corn, and peas. I made a big pot of veggie soup and whenever I get hungry between meals I eat a bowl, or have a piece of fruit. I cant eat alot of fruits, to much sugar for me. Tonight having baked chicken and cauliflower. There new program focuses on fruits, veggies and protein, which is what were suppose to eat anyway. They almost doubled the points for carbs. I had joined about a year or so ago thought they didnt offer enough protein and to many carbs. I'll keep posting but if anyone wants to join its free right now and if you sign up online you get the first month 1/2 off, big savings.
Weigh****chers PointsPlus ROCKS!
I was a "lifetime" member in the late 70s, although I fell off goal within 6 months. To lose, and maintain the last 20 lbs post WLS, I totally embraced the accountablility and healthy food-center that WW had to offer. By the way, WW PRODUCTS are not the same as the WW food program. I don't waste my WW dollar or point values on these products, and my WW leader has been "whole food" only for years...she won't eat any WW products.
They have revamped their points system to factor in protein and has allowed fruit/veggies to be zero points, so we WLSers can use our points on protein sources rather than an apple or cucumber.
My 2 cents...your mileage may vary
