27 Years Out - Regained Weight - Can't Digest Solids

I can understand being reluctant to have surgery.  I was very hesitant to have my revision because the VBG was my first surgery and I had a lot of pain due to a big incision at least 12 inches long.  When I woke up from my VBG I felt like someone had been jumping up and down on my stomach.  Also, after a couple of days in the hospital, one of the inner layers of my stitches split open and I had to go back to surgery to get that fixed.  My RNY was laproscopic and I had less pain than with the open incision and  I also had a surgeon experienced with revisions.  Now I wish I'd had my RNY much sooner because I'm enjoying life so much now.  I'm no longer a hermit and  I'm doing all kinds of fun stuff with my husband.

Hi blondie. I dont know anyone out that far with your surgery. its apples & oranges. I highly suggest you see a surgeon with a lot of experience with WLS. Dont know where you live. There are also age limits for many surgeons. Best of luck to you.
