Newbie to the Grad Forum
Hi, all!
I'm just one year out from my VSG procedure and was asking about accountability and help with getting back on track and someone graciously pointed me to you!
I was 361 at my heaviest - and am now at 195. I'm 5# from my initial goal of 190. I never dreamed I would be this small - and really do love it....getting used to my new body and all its new quirks - the saggy skin, the laxity in my joints (I've had PT and have been to a chiropractor since surgery, since my joints are so loose!), and the occasional ache/pain that comes with. But I'm so happy with my decision - not a day of buyer's remorse.
But I am starting to worry about falling off the wagon...I'm so happy to have the accountability factor on this forum....I have my one year appointment next week and am concerned about my pre-albumin - since I have had a struggle with my protein through the holidays. Hopefully, all will turn out well. I'm good with my vitamins, though....every day.
I'm thankful to have this as a support and welcome any and all input or support...and hope to be a support and help to others on this rocky road of post WLS.
Talk soon!

Glad to be here for you! All of us. There are quite a large number of viewers on this forum and about a dozen people who post..6 or so that post regularly..I'm glad you're here cuz I had RNY and don't know anything about VSG and the requirements. But if I can be of any help at all. Here I am..
One thing about falling off the wagon. You don't have to stay there..One day didn't make you obese and one day off the wagon won't make you obese.. I know about the fear that maintenance gives you, for sure..it's not anything we're used to...we spent our pre-surgery lives either gaining or dieting..and maintaining is a foreign subject..Of that I am certain! Been there, done that, got the shirt..
I still have fear fo regain..

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
