Good for you posting and getting support.
I think most of us panic post Holiday Season. Damn Cookies, pies and need I say more?
I even did a 6 week class with 4 other people with my Eating Coach. It helps to do the following:
1. Mindful Eating (be aware of what you put in your mouth, every calorie counts)
2. Journal (this helps you with trigger eating and finding out what time of day you start grazing)
3. Exercise
4. Drink lots of water, flush out those sugar carbs!

So indeed you are not alone. Thank God our Wellness Program is in full swing here at work. You exercise for points and get $500.00 towards paying your part of the insurance.

Be sure to go to a Bariatric Support Group. It's amazing how many people do NOT take advantage of a Bariatric Support Group. We all have the same fears...Regain.
So let this be a new year for you all. Mindful Eating. Exercise. Journaling and going to a Bariatric Support group. To be surrounded by people that have had WLS and know your fears and can truly relate to your lifestyle helps so much.

Honestly we will always fight with our weight. Keep in mind skinny people gain weight too over the holidays. Hey...here's a secret too...skinny people have "fat clothes" too. We are just like them only I believe they somehow have more control and can get back on track faster than us.
I also believe we always will have "that fat gene" in our body makeup. That's why I exercise too.

Thank you for the grounding words of wisdom.  I have started counting calories and am in my 5th day.  Am doing very well.  Not because I have met my goal of 1200 calories a day but because I am eating healthier and more awarely.  I will look up my support group.  Good idea!

Thanks to all of you for this great advice. I am in the same boat in that I haven't been paying attention to what I'm doing and have regained some weight. I appreciate that nobody is "dumping" (get it? lol) on the OP and is being supportive. What a nice group of folks!!

I had the lap band 3 1/2 years ago.  I lost 110 pounds in slightly over a year.  I regained 20 pounds in 2009, and I have gained about another 12 pounds in 2010.  I am not drinking water like I should, and I have not been exercising like I was.  I am also slipping back into bad eating habits.  I am a little freaked out!  I don't want to lose my progress.  I started working out again this week, and I am thinking of joining weigh****chers.  I have a hard time getting the water in, but know I need to.  BTW, this is the first time I have been on this site for 2 years or so.  I need to totally recommit to this thing!  Good luck to you, and to us all!

Hi guys.

This thread made me want to post.

I'm here for some accountability. I haven't been on the site in probably a year or more. I had a lapband in 2006 and revision in 2007, but just continue to have problems with it.

I got married in September and looked and felt good (although 20lbs heavier than my lowest weight), but since then I've gained back probably another 10 lbs at least.  My clothes are tight, I crave sugar like an addict, and I'm feeling totally desperate.  I had already gained back 20 lbs but my BMI was normal and I felt okay, and actually liked how I looked even just a few months ago.  Why does 10 or 15 lbs feel like a million?!

It makes me feel better to see other people in the same boat, all trying to get back to "normal."  I met my husband when I was thin, and although I know he loves me no matter what, I can't help but feel like I'm letting him down, and worry that he thinks I'm turning into someone fat again.

So, here's to accountability.  My calorie counting starts tomorrow!
