I really need to get back on track also and was interested in knowing which meal replacement shakes anyone is using. I try doing just a protein drink like unjury or isopure but they really dont fill me up. I Bariatric Fision has one and so does Bariatric Advantage, has anyone tried them?  I am looking to do 2 shakes a day and one meal. I tried the 5 day pouch test but had a hard time with just liquids. Thanks Deb

It's only 2 days of just liquids and it's very flexible to include jello, pudding and the most decadent soups ever. I made a huge pot of the ham & cheese soup today, and it's SO good. I get filled up before I'm even done with my 1 cup serving.

What surgery did you have? I ask because 2 shakes plus 1 meal doesn't sound like much at all. I have 3 shakes per day and 3 meals. I also have a snack (like the soup) if needed.

I like Champion Pure Whey Protein Stack in chocolate a lot. For making pudding, I use Unjury unflavored protein. I also like Unjury chicken soup protein powder. I also just placed an order for SDC Nutrition's About Time Birthday Cake Batter protein powder.

Good luck.

I had RNY in November 2005. I lost 121 (out of 159 I wanted to lose) and got lazy and stopped following the rules. I gained about 12 lbs and pretty much stayed there for a couple years. I hit some hard times, gained about 10-20 more, lost them when I found the pouch test. I keep gaining those few lbs, losing them, and really need to gain control and stop this. I started the pouch test today or as I call it "Carb Detox 2011" lol because for me it's not a test at all. It's a tool to detox, get back to the basics, and re-start following the rules. I've done this a couple times, and I find the best time for me to start is on a weekend, so I can get the all liquid days done when at home. I plan everything in advance and start prepping any food the day before (except the soup). I made the soup this morning as I was sipping a protein shake. Since I've done this before, the liquid days are over before ya know it, and by day 5 the energy is kickin' in and I'll be feeling good.

Good luck with it!! Just plan ahead and you'll be fine.
